It's been four days since I went back to work. Mas mabilis ang naging galaw at trabaho namin ni Dave ngayon para sa kasong ito. Ganoon pa rin ang set up namin ni Ken. He would drive me to the law firm and waited for me in the parking area.

Hindi na rin ako masyadong nagtatagal sa law firm at hindi muna ako kumukuha ng ibang kaso. I wanted to focus here and finish this case first. Because I know that as long as this case delayed, the longer I prolong Grace and Ken's agony. Alam ko rin na kailangan ng umalis ni Ken. Ang hindi ko lang maintindihan ay halos dalawang buwan na ang lumilipas pero hindi pa rin siya nagpapaalam sakin.

I was back in my trance when I heard a knock on my door. Binalingan ko si Anya na sumilip doon. I raised my eyebrow at her.

"Atty., may gusto pong kumausap sa inyo." Saad nito sakin.

"I told you already right? Hindi muna ako tatanggap ng ibang kaso." Sagot ko sa kaniya.

"Hindi po client Atty., si Atty. Ellena po ang gustong kumausap sa'yo." Sagot nito.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Ano na naman ba ang kailangan nito.

"Let her in." Maikling tugon ko rito. Umalis naman ito sa pinto at binuksan ito ng malawak. Pumasok doon si Ellena na seryoso ang mukha.

Agad naman sinara ni Anya ang pinto to give us privacy.

"Ano na naman ba ang kailangan mo?" Tanong ko rito.

"What do you know about Ken?" Tanong nito. I cannot hide the irritation I feel towards her.

"Hindi ka pa rin tapos sa issue mo na 'to?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko sa kaniya.

"Just tell me the truth, buhay ba siya?" Pagpilit nito.

I scoffed at her. "Ano ba tingin mo sakin? Diyos? Diba nandon ka nung nilibing siya? Hindi ba nakita mo ang katawan niya?" Sunod-sunod na tanong ko rito.

"Sino ang nag-aantay sa'yo sa parking area?" Pagtatanong nito muli.

"You're really not going to end this nonsense conversation, are you?" I sarcastically asked her. She didn't give me any response.

"The one who's waiting for me is my driver. Okay na?" Sinagot ko na lang ang tanong niyang walang kwenta.

"Driver mo? Pero hindi lumalabas ng sasakyan mo." Hindi makapaniwalang saad nito.

"Bakit ano ba gusto mo? Makita mukha ng driver ko?" Sarkastikong tanong ko rito. "Ellena, my driver shouldn't be your concern right now. Malapit na ang hearing bakit hindi ka mag focus sa pagtatanggol sa mga kriminal mong kliyente?"

"May tinatago ka ba sa akin, Mia?" She asked as she takes a step forward. I didn't move from where I am standing.

"Ellena, as far as I remember..." I stopped midsentence and looked at her straight in the eyes. "You're nothing. Hindi kita kilala. Hindi tayo close. So, why would I hide something from you?" I asked her in disbelief.

"Whoever is my driver, whatever is happening in my life, and whatever I am hiding. It no longer concerns you, because you're not part of my life." Pagpapatuloy ko pa.

I waited for her response but she just looked at me with disbelief and pain in her eyes. I don't know why she looked hurt.

"You know what, Mia. I wanted to be on your good side. I looked up to you because you're so good in this field." She said out of nowhere.

"But you're a total bitch." She added. I just smirked at her.

"I know. Now, if you don't have anything to say that's making sense, the door is right there. You can freely leave." I said to her as I motioned her to leave my office now.
