Princess Chitrangada witnessed the commotion at the courtroom sitting in the frontline of the viewing gallery reserved for the Royal Ladies of the Amergarh empire.

Though the section was seperated from the main hall through transparent curtains but she could easily saw the gloomy faces of the coutiers.

For the first time ever, she have seen her father, Maharaj Suryabhan Singh Shikhawat so defeated.

Her heart ached. The silent weeping of her mother was also not supporting the situation.

"Bapu Saa." Chitrangada called. Her voice boomed in the otherwise silent hall.

She parted the curtains and stepped out.

All the ministers present in the court looked her way... The King himself.

"Hum hath par hath rakh kar nahi baith sakte hain. Woh is prakaar hamare Bhai Saa to kaid nahi kar sakte hain Bapu saa." Her tone was filled with worries and tension.

"Toh aap hi batayein Chitra... Kya karna chahiye hame." Maharaj said irritated.

He himself was bothered about his son's safety... Why couldn't his daughter understand that.

"Unka sandesh aane tak hum kuch nahi kar sakte hain." He slumped on his throne defeated.

"Why Bapu Saa... Why are we so bounded? From the last 6 months they have seized our Empire. They were not not letting our people work... They were not letting our people earn... They were not letting us live. But... But we were compromising knowing that our army is not strong enough to fight against them. But now they have crossed their limits. They have gone overboard by kidnapping the Price of Amergarh. I would rather prefer to die in the battleground instead of sitting idle inside the fort and waiting for their next action."

"Shant ho jayein Chitrangada." Rani Maa Saa's loud yell stopped her from saying another word.

"You have no right to question your father. He knows better then you that what's good for this Empire and Amar." Maharani Somvati intervened.

She couldn't witness her daughter arguing her father infront of all the ministers of their court.

"Please relax... Jiji Saa." Ratna Bai... King's second wife... Consoled the first one.

"Privacy." Veer Surya Singh Shekhawat... Maharaj Suryabhan's son with his second wife... Ordered and soon everyone except the family members dispersed.

"I am so sorry Bapu Saa if I hurted you in any way but now it's really high time to take a step against them." Chitrangada crouched down and held her father's hand.

Her intension was not to disrecpect anyone specially The King... Who also happened to be her father but all she was concerned about was the well being of her brother, Amar Surya Singh Shekhawat... The crowned Prince of Amergarh.

"Aapne kya socha Chitra... Hamne koi prayaas nahi kiya. Hame bheja tha unko shanti sandesh... Aur aapko pata hai... Kya uttar aaya unka..." Suryabhan paused making Chitra's hold on his hand more firm.

"Kya Bapu Saa?" she asked. The trobled face of her father was making her more anxious.

"He asked me to make a choice between You and this Empire. He want me to choose one and hand over him the another... So, it should be whether you or this Empire for me." Maharaj's heart ached while conveying the message.

Silence prevailed in the whole court room. No one knew about this condition of Zahoor Ali Khan... The Badshah of Baghdad... The name of supreme power around the world.
