The next morning I woke up before Armand, not something to be surprised about, showered and slipped on a pair of jeans and one of Armand's sweaters. He still didn't wake up even after I made my way to the kitchen to make something for breakfast.
After finishing with the cooking and eating, Armand was still sleeping. We didn't even sleep that late last night, well maybe we did, but I was starting to worry. That was cut off when someone knocked rapidly at the door.
I opened it and frowned when a man pushed himself in without even saying who he was, he just kept on rambling about something I didn't understand.
"...and someone deleted the article from your computer and if you don't have it ready by noon the boss will-" the man finally looked back, straight at me. I still had the door open and I was about to start screaming.
"You're not Sinclair." He stated, giving me a once over and a frown appearing on his face.
"Who are you?" I clearly wasn't Armand.
"Who are you?" he crossed his arms over his chest and raised an eyebrow.
Maybe I should scream.
"Hey love, do you happen to have some pain killers? I think I ran out of them and I don't feel-" Armand came into the picture wearing nothing but a pair of briefs, messy hair and how did he manage to look both adorable and sexy? That shouldn't be possible.
"What are you doing here?" he stopped himself mid sentence and looked at the stranger whom he seemed to know, so I closed the door.
"Long story short, you need to rewrite your article by noon or the boss will kill you." The raven haired man explained and Armand frowned.
"What? I wrote that article already."
"The system crashed or someone deleted it because it's not where it should be."
"Steve, I have hard copies of it."
"Also gone."
Armand rubbed a hand down his face with a curse.
"We're already looking into it, whoever did this will face the consequences." Steve said. "But right now you need to start working."
"I don't have any pain killers but I can go get you some?" I cut into the conversation. Armand looked over at me and smiled with a shake of his head.
"That's okay, I'll stop by for some on my way to the office. Are you leaving already?" he asked after I grabbed my purse from where I dropped it last night.
"I need to stop by the studio before class and you need to concentrate, I'll just be in the way."
"You're never in the way." He frowned and I chuckled.
"When you're working I am and I get it, don't worry about it. When I'm working you also get in my way." I lied.
"Now you're just saying that to make me feel better." Armand came closer to hold my hand and play with my fingers as we talked.
"We all have different ways of doing our thing, you just happen to need your space."
Steve cough stopped me from continuing and Armand cursed again.
"Right, introductions. Love, this is Steve, a coworker and friend; Steve this is Darcy, my girlfriend."
"Nice to meet you." At Steve's reluctant nod, I decided it was time to stop postponing my absence. "Well, I must go. Good luck."
"Take my car." Armand went to get his keys.
"That's okay, I can call a taxi. You'll need the car to go to work." I refused quickly.
