A half empty open bottle of wine sat on the coffee table, beside it a pizza box –also open – with only three slices of cold pizza left and right next to that, two empty beer bottles. Orange Is the New Black was currently playing on the television while Armand and I snuggled on the couch with one hand on our drinks and the other on the pizza. We were being very healthy and productive, as always.
"Remind me why we're watching this?" Armand questioned before taking a bite out of his almost none existent pizza slice.
I turned away from the television to give my attention to him. My heart started beating faster; it always did whenever I looked at him. I hope that never went away.
He wore a plain loose shirt and sweatpants, feet bare and hair up in a sort of bun. He hadn't shaved in two days and there was a dust of stubble along his jawline, cheeks and upper lip, which made kissing and having him eat me out quite interesting. He wanted to see how it felt to have some sort of facial hair again since he's been shaving for the past two months. Apparently it was therapeutic doing it single handedly."Darcy?"
"Yes?" I asked startled out of my thoughts.
"See something you like love?" he smirked knowing all too well the answer to that.
"I always like what I see." I chuckled. "And we're watching this because Esther said that it was a good show and we have nothing to do." he opened his mouth and I raised a finger to shut him up. "Don't even mention sex because I don't think I have the stamina right now. I think you've broken me."
"Well,"
"Don't look so pleased about it!" I threw the last of my slice of pizza at him and then watched him eat it with a smirk on his lips. "I hate you."
"Of course you do," he rolled his eyes and leaned down so he could reach the pizza without having to get up from the couch.
We didn't say much after that, just kept watching the show.
It felt good, doing this, being together and not doing much. Since the accident three months ago Armand started working more from home and went to the office at most three times a week. I finally finished most of my courses, just went to university for two classes a week and Armand's guest room still served as my studio. It seems as if we're hiding from society, but we're not. We actually hung out with Esther and Victor quite a lot, with their friends and Armand's too. It's fun, it works and it makes us happy.
"Marry me." Armand said out of nowhere and my head snapped to look at him.
"Marry me Darcy." He repeated with a smile on his lips.
Yes, my heart really did have a tendency to try and run to him whenever he said those words.
"Yes."
Armand's smile turned into a grin and he went back to watching the show.
"I thought you hated me." He said without taking his eyes from the television.
I threw a cushion at his head.

"I'm telling you, if he doesn't propose I will!" Esther pushed the cart as I grabbed the things we needed for dinner and placed them in the cart.
"As in marriage?" I questioned.
"I love him and he loves me. I want to marry him, is that wrong?" Esther frowned.
"It's not wrong," I sighed. "Don't listen to me. Do what makes you happy; what makes both of you happy."
"Good. I want you to be my maid of honor."
