What now?

The forever present question after closing certain period of your life.

When you graduate High School and the question pops up, what am I going to do now? Even though you have a university to attend to, there's that feeling of not knowing. And then you graduate university and you're out on the world and you can't help but ask what now?

It all comes down to that moment when you realize it's the last lesson ever, the last time you'll be able to pass the responsibility to a teacher if something didn't go as planned, just because you can blame someone other than yourself. When you realize you might want to keep in touch with friends and classmates but now everyone will be doing their own thing and even as much as you want to, they might not be there always.

Freedom comes with responsibility.

I graduated and as I came down with my certificate in hand I couldn't help but wonder, what now? Even though I have an idea of what will happen with my life. Mrs. Harvey loved my pieces and already had an area of the gallery saved just for my paintings, we just had to go over some contracts for the new work, but it was pretty much a closed deal. About my friends? Well, Esther decided to take a year to just travelling around the world with Victor and his band and find inspiration to paint that way. The Rogue, the guy's band, was quickly gaining popularity and hopefully all those concerts and travelling made them get bigger.

Armand and I had finally found that house we wanted and were to pay for it by the end of the month. I no longer had a need for my apartment, and because of all the good years of friendship with Jenny, I called her. She declined my offer, saying her and Nathan had just bought a place. She thanked me and we did have a good talk. We were both to blame for how our friendship turned out to be. We aren't in exactly good terms, but they aren't bad either. It's complicated.

"I am so proud of you!" Armand wrapped his arms around me when the ceremony was over. I had to hold back tears.

Honestly, I have no idea when I got so lucky. Having him in my life made everything better, made me happy. Sure, we weren't all sweet and flowers all the time. We've had some pretty strong arguments that there was a week were we didn't see each other at all from how mad we were. Make up sex proved to be quite pleasant, but I preferred it when it happened without major fights.

Armand had finally decided to risk it and he wrote a book, which now was going to turn into a series. The first book was so well received that he had to continue it. The readers loved it and I loved seeing him happy.

"Congratulations Darcy." Maeve said after Armand let go of me, giving me a quick hug and a small box.

"You didn't have to." I said, she rolled her eyes at me, and thanked her for the gift.

"Ma!" Armand's face was all red and probably a mirror image of mine.

"What? You're both still pursuing your dreams, I'm sure kids will come in a year or two, but for now, well." She motioned at the box which held a bunch of condoms and a pair of tiny baby boots.

"We tried to stop her." Seth said with a laugh. "But your reaction makes me glad we couldn't."

"The baby boots are if you decide to have kids now. They're cute, aren't they?" Nina grinned so big I wanted to throw the box of condoms at her.

"Stop teasing them. Look, they're panicking." Jackson was trying really hard not to laugh at us.

"You guys are the worst," Armand shook his head with a smile on his mouth. "Come on Darcy, let's go find Victor to see where we're going tonight."
