Taylor and Hayley sat awkwardly facing each other while Illy and Baylie gathered some tea.

Her eyes wondered around the room.
His never left her.

After all these years, Taylor still couldn't believe how beautiful she was.

Her eyes still the vibrant green that make you question your own existence.

The way her eyes wrinkle whenever she would smile warmly at him.

The way her voice broke through the silence and created the most precious sound waves Taylor has ever heard.

The way she sat, one leg over the other. So classy, yet so easy going all at once.

"Still dressed in converses." Taylor observed.

Hayley finally bringing up enough courage to look him in the eye.

"Yea." She softly smiled. "it's comfy. Plus, they are very stylish."

He nodded.

Something about her, the way she presented herself, was in a perfect mixture of maturity and innocence.

Making him feel very nostalgic.

He missed her dearly, that much he had to admit.

Not long after their brief exchange of words, Baylie and Illiana emerged from the kitchen with tea and small pastry treats for everyone.

"Sorry for not having coffee." Baylie spoke up. "But for some reason coffee has been getting me extra queazy."

She smiled and sat next to taylor.

"No problem." Hayley mentioned. "when I was pregnant with this one," she cocked her head towards Illy who was seated by her side. "I couldn't even get a whiff of eggs. Made me run to the nearest toilet."

They all giggled. All except for Taylor.

Hayley smiled warmly at Illy who was hung to her side. She reached up slowly and caressed her face.

"She looks just like you." Taylor broke the silence.

Hayley smiled. "yeah, but she has your hair." she playfully ruffled her curls. "and your beautiful caramel eyes."

Iliana blushed. "I'm the perfect mix of both of you."

Taylor smiled warmly at both of them. Still unable to swallow the feelings of belonging by their side.

After all that Hayley has put him through, she was still every bit worth it.

After all, she was, and may still be the love of his life.

A/N: I just want to thank all of you for giving me the space and time I needed to grieve. I know this chapter was boring and extremely short, but it was just a warm up...
I'm currently working on the next part of my other Tayley fic. And if I'm still awake, I may end up publishing it either tonight or tomorrow night the very latest...
Love all of you && hope nothing but smiles and laughs...
Life is short. embrace every second. :)
