Part 23:

*Flashback*

Taylor walked into the high school.

It was his first day as a full teacher.

Naturally, he was as nervous as can be.

He sighed. Calming his nerves before finally opening the door to his class room.
Over the summer he had come in and decorated it. Made it his own.

Now all that was left was students to come in and give it life.

He smiled wide as he sat his messenger bag on his desk. Along with his second cup of coffee.

He began to distribute papers on every desk. Knowing that in just a few minutes learning will begin to take place.

And his career would have officially begun.

His door swung open which caught him off guard.

He shot his head up.

“Hello?” He said to the brunette with blue eyes.

“Oh hi.” She smiled back. “I’m sorry to just barge in like this,” she came in fully, “I just heard there was a new hired and I thought it was the Taylor York I knew.”

He nodded. “Baylie, right?”

She nodded. “Yeah, that’s me.”

He extended her hand out for her to take.

She did.

“We had psychology together.” She smiled.

“You remember me?” She asked a bit shocked.

He nodded. “Of course. You were the smartest girl in class.”

She giggled. He smiles back.

Their eyes caught in each other’s. Losing focus on the world around them.

*Bell rings*

“Well,” she breaks the silence. “I have to go welcome the students.”

Taylor nods. “I guess I’ll see you around?”

“I’ll see you around Mr. York.”

He smiled.

**

Nearly three months into the school year, Taylor grew the courage to ask Baylie out to dinner.

Unaware of what to call it just yet. A date? A dinner with a coworker? He was still in the process of moving on.

Sure he’s had girls, but it was never close to becoming anything other than a fling.

He was the first to arrive.

Waiting for her arrival.

Baylie arrived fifteen minutes after he did.

Taylor blew a sigh of relief. Afraid that he would get stood up. But proven wrong.

She quickly came rushing in.

“I’m sorry I’m late.” She said a little out of breath with a hint of a smile.

“It’s okay.” He stood and placed his hand on her lower back as he guided her to their already reserved seats.

Throughout dinner, her smile, the way her hair flowed, her scent, her mesmerizing eyes made Taylor believe that maybe, just maybe this was the start of something.

“So I must ask.” She placed her hand over his.

“Anything.” He said as he took a sip of his drink.

She smiled. “I’m sure it’s none of my business, but I’ve just always wondered.” She cocked her head curiously, “where you and that Hayley girl ever an item?”

Taylor’s heart felt like a cold hand got a grip of it.

The color in his face was most definitely gone.

“I-“his throat went dry.

“No,” Baylie shook her head. “I shouldn’t have asked.”

He chuckled. “Uh, no its fine.” He smiled awkwardly. “No, we never became a couple.”

“Oh.” She gripped his hand. “I just thought so. See, you always looked at her with so much love. I just assumed-“

“Just a silly crush.” He cut her off.

**

Baylie took his hand as he walked her home.

“Thanks for a great night.” She said as he smiled down at her.

“Don’t mention it.”

She softly caressed her forearm.

Finally reaching her door.

“Maybe we could do that again?” Taylor said as she rested her back on the door.

“How about breakfast?” She said with a small smirk.

“I am a sucker for waffles.” He said in a jokingly manner.

“Well tomorrow morning then.” She said suddenly.

“That works.” He said subtly moving his lips to hers.

“Well it would be easier to just stay the night.” She said in a whisper.

Their lips slightly brush each others.

It was then that Taylor let himself go.

He no longer wanted to think of her whenever he would lay with someone else.

It was this time that he came up with a plan.

He would let Baylie be the one to make him forget of her absence.

He pulled away.

“Are you sure?” He asked.

She eagerly nodded. “Yes.”

He smirked. Pressing her body closer to his.

At this point making his way to the bedroom.

Clothes scattered all about the bedroom floor.

He kissed every inch of her body.

This night was shorter than the rest.

When the deed was done, he turned to her and smiled.

She smiled back.
“Will you stay the night?” She asked.

“Do you want me to?” He said in a flirtatious manner.

She nodded.

“Then I’ll stay.”

*End of Flashback*

It was the first night since Hayley left to California that he realized that he was able to forget about her.

And for 6 years of dating; five years of marriage, it was true. She didn’t cross his mind.

But that all changed the moment Iliana walked into his life.

*

“We need to talk.” Baylie says with tears in her eyes.

Taylor nodded. Knowing exactly where this conversation was headed.

** Guys, I have thought long and hard about this, but I have decided that I will NOT be doing a sequel to this story. At least not anytime soon. I have another story plot in line and yes it will be Tayley. No matter what they will be my favorite.

Anyways I hope you all enjoy this story. **
