Chapter 5

Lisa had left after a few, the only advice given was to confess as soon as possible, before she was taken. As you sat in the restaurant, your eyes set on one certain customer. Her cat-like eyes and mandu cheeks...it all seemed so familiar.

"L/N Y/N, staring?" She turned to face you, and you immediately recognized her.

"Kim Jennie!" You threw yourself at her with such force you nearly pushed her down. Jennie was your friend from high school who had moved to New Zealand two years ago for her studies.

"Woah! Missed me, huh?" She raised an eyebrow cockily, but hugged you back.

"Yes, of course. But don't think too much." Your voice was slightly muffled as your face was pressed against your friend's shoulder.

Jennie chuckled. "I missed you too, Y/N/N." She flashed her gummy smile.

Unable to resist, you poked her cheeks. "Yah! No matter how cocky you act, you're still my little cutie pie mandu!"

"Can I ask you something?" You asked Jennie after a few moments of chatting.

"Sure, what is it?"

"Well...I like someone, and you know...," 

"No, I don't know."

You sighed. "I mean, I just don't what to do."

Just then, you heard your phone's ringtone, making you flinch. Seeing it was Jisoo you tapped the green button to answer the call. 

"Y/N, where are you? I thought you were just going for lunch?" 

"Hey Jisoo...I met one of my friends and I am talking to them. I'll come back a little later, okay?"

"Alright."

She cut the call, and you turned to face Jennie. "Anyway, sorry 'bout that. T-"

"That's your crush?" Jennie interrupted you, asking a question that made you blush and turn away.

"Yeah. How did you know?"

"You didn't hide it well. You were all red and smiley. I wouldn't be surprised if she already knew you liked her."

"Oh,"
