The next morning came all too soon. Cassidy was hugging me tightly, crying into my shoulder. My aunt gently touched my shoulder.
"Leah we have to go. Tell Cassidy goodbye," her voice was gentle but firm, I had no choice but to do what she said.
"g-goodbye Cassidy. I'm gonna call you every night... o-okay?" I hate the quivering in my voice but I can't help it.
She sniffles and lets me go, "you better call o-or I'll come down there and force the phone into your hand." she tries and fails to smile at her weak humor attempt. I gave her one last hug before getting into the passenger seat of my aunts car. I wave to Cassidy as we start to drive, my heart breaking as I get torn away from the only place I've felt at home since I was ten.

I arrived at an airport in Toronto at around two in the afternoon. As expected not one member of my so called family was there to pick me up. My father did, however, send a member of my pack with a limo. Because a nice car totally makes everything better. It's a four hour drive to the small town my packs territory, so the driver agrees to stop at McDonald's for something to eat. I instantly notice he speaks to me as little as possible, like almost all adults in this idiotic pack.
"home sweet home.." I mutter to myself as he leaves to go get me some food.
The rest of the car ride was uneventful, neither me or the driver spoke to each other the entire drive back. I was actually relieved when we pulled up to the house. I got out as fast as I could, then took a deep breath as I started walking towards the door. It was thrown open before I could even touch the handle and my older sister Thea reached out and hugged me.
"Leah! I missed you soooooo much!"
I shove her off of me, glaring at her. She looks hurt, like I just ripped out her heart and stomped on it or something... good.
"I um..." she bites her lip, looking at the ground, "I want you to meet my mate.."
A guy steps outside, he looks pretty pissed at me, probably because of how I completely rejected Thea's hug.
"Leah this is Scar. Scar this is my little sister Leah..." Thea won't look me on the eye and she takes a step closer to her mate.
"It's nice to meet you." I say, making it clear I don't mean it, "Now if you'll excuse me im going to go unpack."
I walk right past her and into the house, heading for my bedroom and quickly locking the door behind me when I get in there. I sat on the bed and sighed as I start unpacking my trophies and putting them on the dresser.
"I already hate it here" I whisper in my mind to my wolf
"At least we didn't have to see your parents," she tries to reason with me, "or Mason and co."
I shudder. She's right, it could've been a LOT worse.
"you think they'll still hate us?" I question, thinking about Mason and the rest of his torture committee
"I don't know." she sighs in my mind
"I'm scared..." I admit. I haven't been picked on since I left and I don't want it to start again.
"me too Leah... Me too."
