I open my eyes. All I can see is black. The last thing I remember is something with Darien...ugh, my head...my hand moves to my forehead, rubbing it.
"Hello?" I whisper into the surrounding darkness. Nothing. I close my eyes and try to remember what happened before all this.
"A phone? It will work!" Darien smiled widely, with excitement.
"Okay...now, how do I bring it to you?" I raise an eyebrow at him.
"A transport, of course." He looked at me as if I had just asks something insane. "It's something that allows-"
"Yeah, I know what a transport is. I've just never used one." I cut him off. "There's no risk in using it though, right?"
"No. I mean, I've never used it on somebody from a different universe before, but it should be safe." Darien answered, a sure expression on his face. "You can trust me, Cassie."
"You know, usually people have some hesitation doing that when their poster is asking them to. Oh and let's include the, 'poster from a different universe' part in there." I laugh nervously.
"You believe all this is true, so I think you do trust me." He stated, smiling. This causes an automatic eye roll from me.
"Can't you just transport the phone alone?" Yes, I'm making excuses so I won't have to go to a world with a guy who looks like Chris Hemsworth, and no, I am not an idiot crazy. Besides, shouldn't he be able to take the phone alone?
"Honestly, no." He shook his head, "The energy in the teleport is leftover from the Sakti, therefore it'd be safer to have you come as well. Your DNA will work as a sort of mask to confuse the Sakti's scent glands when we use their energy. They've never experienced your scent, so it should work." He explained.
"Um, okay then. But I can't be there for long." I replied, stuffing my phone, and a close by pen, in my pocket. Why a pen? I don't know, it's just a thing I always do; take a pen with me everywhere.
"Ready?" I breath in sharply then nod in response of Darien's question.
Now I remember...that was actually kind of freaky, I never remember stuff that easily...wait, if I was transported, then where's Darien?
"Cassie? Is that you?" My thoughts were cut of by Darien's voice and footsteps running over to me.
"Darien? Yeah." I answer, he helps me up and stables me when I start falling back down. "Thanks..and where are we?" I look around the black area.
"I'm not sure what lighting is like in your world, so I transported you into a darker room, as to not freak out your vision." He said, putting his hands on my shoulders and smiling at me. "I can't believe I'm talking to someone from a different world!"
"Um...we've been talking for the past hour or so, before I was here."
"I mean in person! It's so exciting, isn't it?"
"Uh, yeah. Actually it is." I returned his smile as realization hit me. I'm in a DIFFERENT WORLD! Oh my gosh. I think I'm gonna freak.
"Are you okay?" Darien's concerned voice came over my thoughts.
"Yeah, yeah." I say, cooly. How? I'm not really sure, cause inside I'm about to explode. "To your lab, then?" He nods eagerly and takes my hand, leading me out of the room and into a white hallway. Oh boy, isn't this place just popping with color.
