It was a burning hot day of Tusla, Oklahoma. I was hanging out with my bestfriend Sodapop Curtis. We were singing an Elvis Presley song when someone knocked on the door. It was weird when someone knocked because the gang normally just barges in without a care in the world.
Sodapop ran to open the door, and I was left alone singing to Elvis Presley."Y/N SOMEONE'S HERE FOR YOU!" Sodapop screamed to me.
I turned of the music and ran to the door.
"Who is it?" I asked soda
"Why you asking me i don't know"
"Who are you,I think you got the wrong house miss"I said.
"Aren't you y/n y/l/n?"The lady said.
"Yes I am?"I said quietly.
"OK, you have to come with me."The lady said while grabbing my hand.
"LET GO OF HER"Soda screamed. Soda looked like he was about the burst down into tears.
"Soda ill be back soon I promise!" I screamed just loud enough so he can hear. At this point Soda was already crying. It hurt me to see him cry, all I wanted to do was give him the biggest hug ever.
She shoved me in the car. And started to drive off. I was so confused who she was and where I'm going. WAS I BEING KIDNAPPED??? But the only thing I could think of was Soda, and when I was going to see him again.
"Who are you and where are you taking me!"I said while trying not to freak out.
"Oh dear, has it really been that long?"She said while looking down at me with a shocked face.
The next words she said would haunt me forever.
"I'm your mom sweetie!"
"But- my mom left me 5 years ago..."
I started to get angry, if she really was my mom why would she leave me.
"WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE ME, I WAS 6 WHEN YOU LEFT ME"
"I just did i dont know I was a 25 year old then but I've changed i promise sweetie" My mom said trying to calm me down.
"DONT SWEET TALK ME "MOM" IM NOT A LITTLE GIRL ANY MORE IM 11! TAKE ME BACK NOW" I said getting more angry by the second.
"Calm down your only going to be staying with me for 5 years" She said grabbing my hand.
I yanked my hand away."IM NOT STAYING WITH YOU!" I screamed and slammed my hand down on the stereo.
She then pulled me by my arm yanking me towards her and she whispered "I will make your life terrible if you don't obey me."
"DO IT FOR ALL I CARE I WONT SEE MY BESTFRIEND FOR 5 YEARS YOU ALREADY RUINED MY LIFE!" I screamed to her.
She then slapped me right across the face. I knew it would leave a red mark soon.
I then slouched down in the car seat and waited till we got to her house.
"Five years soda five years........" I sighed the fell asleep.
