"Hey Lana", Trenton said. Surprised I didn't hear the door open, I looked up from my treadmill screen to see a toothy grin brighten my room. A smile like that on his face told me there was trouble in that crowded blonde mind. He was always thinking of something foolish to start trouble leaving no room for required knowledge.

Oh God, I thought. "How can I help you Trenton?", I asked using his full name as a way of challenging him. He chuckled.

"You know I hate when you say that.", he answered. No shit

"What do you need ?" I smirked at the realization that crossed his features at me not responding to his statement. Stepping off the machine, I grabbed the towel from my bed and wiped the sweat from my face and chest. I sighed at the cold air rushing into my room from the doorway where he stood.

"You know how you want to be on active duty with the rest of us men right ?"

"And one boy, yes." I said knowing where he was going with this. He rolled his eyes.

"So how come you don't train with us outside? I mean it's only common sense, ya know." he suggested shrugging his shoulders. I sat on my bed waiting for him to continue. He bounced off my yoga ball and leaned on the balls of his feet in front of me. "Don't seclude yourself from society." he mocked putting one hand on my shoulder. I laughed and put my hand over his.

"You suck at trying to be serious."

I got up to stand at the doorway of my room and turned to smile at the attempted pout on his face. "Now if you don't mind," I gestured to the hallway outside my room, "I need to change."

He got up and stopped in front of me. "Eventually you'll have to come to one of our meetings Lana. That's the only way you'll be able to join us. I can't stress it enough to you." Wow, he's serious this time.

"Do you know how many times we've had this conversation Trent?" I crossed my arms. He was starting to annoy me.

"It'll stop once you grow the tits to get out there and prove yourself." Ouch.

"Really?" I snatched a fist full of his hair before he could react and guided him to the other side of my doorway. And out of my room. "Maybe once you learn not to be an asshole, I'll consider going to those practices you can barely call 'training'. Until then, out." I demanded motioning to the front of my house with my eyes. I let go of his hair and slammed the door in his face as he rubbed the spot where his hair was gripped.

"That's the spirit !"

It's hard to remember he's just a kid. I said nothing as I stepped into the bathroom to shower fighting the need to let my wolf out on the boy.
