Hey Hey Hey

~~~~~
After I was announced Mohan's mate. everyone congratulated us. It lasted for about an hour. Although my mate seemed cocky, in a sense, his pack seemed to be the opposite. I was embarrassed to be given so much attention but I kept in mind that it would end soon.
Night had already fallen when we ended up in the living room. Everyone else was still outside socializing. No one has been this excited since we moved here. Now that the Maska Pack have arrived, gossip will spread like a wildfire during the summer and marriages will be "the thing" this year for my pack.
"Everyone was so excited when Harvey and I told them the news of your coming." my mother beamed. She was sitting on the sofa next to my father. Seeing them hold hands and be affectionate with one another made me think it was comfortable. At times it looked so normal that it looked like they didn't even know they were holding hands. They looked so content.
Danielle was in the love-seat laughing at me with her eyes. I glared at her.
I was not comfortable. Mohan was next to me on the sofa perpendicular from where my parents were. His arm was hugging my shoulders making me tense in the process. He seemed fine. I was as stiff as a board. I haven't felt this rigid since I was a kid getting caught doing the wrong thing. It's not how I like my body feeling. Of course he must have felt how tense I was cause every once in a while he would softly rub my leg with the hand that wasn't occupied. The worst part was feeling the soft vibrations under my skin every time he touched me. My mother said it would feel wonderful. And it did. That's why I'm hating second of it. It's making my control hang by a thread.
"We've come a long way. They are relieved because we can finally settle down. We're going to start building houses on the land you lent to us. For that we are forever grateful." His voice was so deep. So masculine. Since his side was pressed against my arm, I could feel every muscle he worked out. Every time he shrugged, his side moved with him. His fingers were long and well taken cared of. His nails weren't bitten, but clipped short. His hand is currently resting on my shoulder.
Puberty hit him like a tsunami.
My dad smiled. "In fact, I was surprised Athena wasn't squashed when they practically swarmed the two of you."
I rolled my eyes at their admiration of him. And after realizing I haven't seen my dear pup, they widened soon after. "I have to find Athena." I blurted leaning to get off the couch to get the stuff I bought from the car also. It would give me a chance to escape from his warmth.
"Oh she's over here on my side of the sofa.", he pointed. I leaned forward and saw her head peaking out staring at me.
Damn you dog.
"I also left her things in the car that I got from the store. It'll only-"
"I'll come with you." Mohan said immediately getting off the couch as well. I turned.
"No you can stay with my parents. You should get to know them after all." I insisted.
"Honey-"
"Babe, we have the rest of our lives for that. I'd like to get to know my mate in privacy just for a little bit." He grinned interrupting my mother unintentionally. I cringed.
Screw you.
I looked to my mom for help, but her smile looked like it was going to reach her eyebrows. So I looked away. "I guess."
I grabbed my house keys once again and walked out the door.
"She's so cute when she's annoyed." Danielle said before the door closed. Most people had already gone to their homes, but some were still outside. I heard some of the teen girls giggle when they saw us walking together. Mohan attempted at starting small talk.
