And yet again she goes to sleep
With swollen eyes and tear stained cheeks.
You pushed her to the edge.
You finally made her crack.
She thought you'd save her life.
She thought you'd have her back,
But she was wrong and she knows that now.
She should've seen all of the morals that you lack.
She didn't but she wishes that she did
Because maybe then she wouldn't have turned her back.
You've done this all before.
You’re like a car on a track.
You just go in circles,
Not staying where you're at
But repeating all the same
As if there's something you can gain
By becoming what you claimed to hate. You're exactly what you said that you weren't.
You've taken my hopes and turned them to dirt.
I hope you get what you deserve
You're like a child being served
There's always more that you want to take.
You don't want to finish what you started.
You'd rather leave that girl broken hearted.
I've been there.
I've seen it.
I wish I hadn't.
I wish I could delete it,
But I can't and I won't
Because then you would win.
I can't give you the satisfaction of me giving in.
I deserve more than that and you deserve less.
You're the one that turned my life to a mess.
