I can pretend it doesn't hurt,
But inside I know it does.
Maybe I can ignore it for a little while,
But it'll show in a couple hours.
I told you I was afraid to trust.
You promised me my fear would be hushed.
You broke your promise.
You broke my heart.
I should've seen it coming from the start.
I guess I just hoped beyond all else that it wouldn't.
