A couple days ago, Winston left. He left to go find out where Lyle and Wyatt went. After discussing it, we figured that would be best. Life has been going on as usual. Dean has been working on taking time off, and the rest of us has been working on the farm.
Ive been mentally preparing for the fact I'll have to go back to who I was. I'm gonna have to kill people, might have to rob people. I'm terrified that I'll like it. We worked so hard to build our lives.
I woke up to Sawyer poking me, "Hey buddy".
He didn't answer.
"You okay?".
"Uncle Winston".
I took a second, "What about him?".
"He's back. Talking to Pa and Grandpa".
"Okay," I sat up, "Why don't you meet me downstairs? I'll get you some breakfast".
Sawyer rushed downstairs. I threw some clothes on, then made my way downstairs. Pa and Orville weren't in the house. I sat Sawyer on the couch and gave him some food, then I went outside.
Pa looked at me, "And there she is, speak of the devil".
"Anything on Lyle?" I asked.
"Anything you wanna know?" Winston joked.
I didn't answer.
"Right," Winston took a deep breath, "Yes, but not as much as I'd like. I was telling Jim and Orville before you got here. I heard of a robbery up in a little town named Eedwald. The description sounded like Wyatt, and sounded like a gang. Then I realized while up there that a close connection of his is having a big party in Larcroft. Another up and coming city, like Saint Riviera".
I thought for a moment, "So, you're saying we're gonna have to attend this party and get more information on where Wyatt is?".
Winston nodded.
"Shit, alright. When is it?".
"Two weeks from now. Should only take us a couple days to ride up, we should leave here in a couple days".
I looked back at Sawyer in the house. He was eating on the couch, watching us.
"We'll take care of him Amira" Orville smiled.
Pa wrapped his arm around me, "We've got your boy".
I smiled, "I trust you guys. Always have, always will".
"You go talk to your husband," Pa started walking inside with Orville, "Figure out your shit".
I walked inside of the office.
Dean let a patient out of the back room, "Trust me, he's one of the best".
He waved and left.
Dean looked at me, "You've got that look on your face that somethings up".
"Winston found the start of a trail".
"Leading to Wyatt and Lyle?".
I nodded.
Dean sighed, "Okay, good. I'll get prepared and ready".
"I just don't know how I feel about you coming along Dean. I mean, to leave Sawyer without any parents? And you're not experienced with gangs on top of that".
"I don't wanna go over this with you again" Dean sat at his desk.
"What if we both die? Huh? The fuck is gonna happen to our boy?!".
Dean looked up at me, "Nobody is going to die".
"It's always possible-".
"Did anyone die at Kensington?!" Dean looked angry.
