It was fairly early when I woke up. The sun was just rising, and I was sick to my stomach. I get a lot of anxiety knowing that I haven't told Dean about the baby yet. He's gonna be real sad when I do tell him.
But it'll all be alright eventually.
"Big day today" Dean spoke.
I looked back at him, "Yeah".
Dean smiled.
"What?" I smirked.
"You're glowing".
I laughed a little, "Sure I am".
"Ready to get Lyle back and get out of here?".
I sighed and nodded.
Dean kissed my forehead, "I'm sure excited to get home to my boy".
"What if I die?".
"Where did this thought come from?" Dean looked concerned.
I shrugged as I started to cry a little.
"Hey," Dean pushed the hair out of my face and wiped my tears, "What's wrong Mrs emotional?".
"I'm just tired" I wiped my eyes.
"You're gonna be able to get all the sleep in the world once this is done".
I could tell he's not optimistic about this whole adventure. Not sure what it is that's giving it away, it it's very obvious. I'm sure Winston has a headache from how obvious it is.
I could hear people waking up and moving about outside the tent.
"Wanna go out and talk to everyone?" Dean asked.
I nodded, "We should figure out when we're heading out. Get our guns ready, make sure we're good to go".
Dean smiled.
"I'm hoping Lyle just... cooperates".
"Probably not love".
I groaned.
Dean laughed a little, "Everything is gonna turn out just fine, okay? Everything happens for a reason. What happens today is meant to be".
I nodded.
The two of us left the tent and sat with Sam and Kota by the fire. We all sat very far from it. It was cold out today, but not that cold.
"everyone ready for today?" Sam asked.
Dean nodded, "I guess so".
"Anyone heard from Winston? He hasn't said shit to me" Sam lit a smoke.
"I haven't either" Kota added.
I took a second, "Really?".
Everyone looked at me.
"I thought I was just being kept out of the loop" Dean joked.
Sam looked confused, "Why would he only talk to you about the plan?".
I shrugged.
"Interesting," Sam nodded, "And he's not here either?".
"No. I saw him leave earlier" Kota looked over at Sam.
Sam sighed.
"Maybe he's just scouting. He usually does that" I smiled.
"But we need a plan Amira, we don't know when we're leaving" Sam sounded panicked.
"Go front," I took a second, "Go front hot and heavy, hope for the best, and maybe we can just talk. If worst comes to worst we fight".
