It was as if her whole existence was that of a butterfly - beautiful, carefree, joyful. Then it all fell apart and that beauty, carefree nature, and joy dissipated into the never ending abyss.
Cue the betrayal of a moth.

Chisoo jumped up when a loud banging on the front door ensued. The boys around her jumped up as well, but Haknyeon's mother beat everyone to it.
Chisoo was tired and curious, but her friends were nervous. Was the investigation here already?
The answer was yes.
"Hello, Officer," Mrs. Ju smiled as she opened the door. "How can I help you today."
"Is Yoo Chisoo here?"
Chisoo's stomach dropped and she looked over at Haknyeon, who was already looking at her. Why did he look guilty?
"She's right here," Mrs. Ju looked at the girl, so Chisoo quickly got up and went to the door.
"Hi," Chisoo mumbled. "Is something wrong?"
He pulled out a pair of handcuffs and gave her a stern look. "We're opening a new investigation concerning the car wreck you and your family were in. I need to take you in and ask you some questions."
It took no effort for his words to make Chisoo start shaking. She was terrified of talking about the wreck in so much depth again, she didn't want to remember so vividly.
Chisoo looked at Mrs. Ju as the police officer turned her around and handcuffed her. The girl was teary eyed as Mrs. Ju cupped her cheek and whispered that everything would be okay.
"She'll be home by tonight, right?" Haknyeon finally spoke up.
"Maybe," the officer replied. "Depends on how she responds."
Sangyeon couldn't help but feel bad as the tears in Chisoo's eyes finally fell. They made eye contact one more time before the officer took her out of the house, and Mrs. Ju shut the door.
"You three look guilty," she pointed out. "Why?"
"We saw on the news last night that they were opening a new investigation." Younghoon told her.
She crossed her arms. "And you didn't tell her?"
"She was asleep," Sangyeon said. "We didn't want to wake her up."
"And we didn't expect the investigation to start so early. We would've said something, otherwise." Haknyeon added.
"Well," Mrs. Ju sighed. "When that girl gets home, give her hugs if she wants them, be her shoulders to cry on. She needs someone now more than ever, yes?"
