"You're bringing WHO as your plus one?"

I move the phone away from my ear, trying to gain my hearing, "I am bringing Elias, Liv,"

"Why are you bringing HIM? I mean, not that it's an issue but why is he coming with YOU?"

"He barely knows anyone here, so I thought it would be better for him to come out and enjoy his night with us," I am not lying. This was the reason why I wanted him to come. "Anyway, I am about to leave the house. I'll see you soon,"

"Yeah- WAIT!! Wait, I need to tell you something," she screams, right before I am about to end the call.

"What?"

"Um... so someone is coming to my party today..." she hesitantly speaks, "and I need you to warn Malachi,"

At first, I didn't understand what Malachi had to do with a guest.
Then, I get what Liv was about to say.

"Margo is coming?" I ask.

"Yeah. I have been meaning to tell Kai, just so he is aware, but it completely slipped my mind. I don't want this to be awkward,"

"Don't worry. I'll let him know and he will stay with me and Elias throughout the night to avoid any awkward encountering between them,"

"Thank you, Tempest. You're the best! See you soon,"

I scroll through my contacts and press Malachi's name.
It rings twice before he picks up.

"How may I help you, Miss Moore?" he answers.

"Heyyyy..." I didn't really think about how I was going to tell him this, "Um, so... there is a slight situation,"

"Go on."

"How would you feel if I told you that... Margo was going to be at the party tonight?"

silence.
Absolute silence.
I think he even stopped breathing.

"Margo... Margo is going to be there... As in, Margo," he repeats, "Aw man..."

"It's okay. I will make sure there isn't an awkward interaction with you guys. You can stay with me and Elias if you would like,"

"Why didn't Liv tell me sooner?"

"She was overwhelmingly busy," I can tell he is getting stressed.

He sighs a long exaggerated and dreadful sigh, "Okay, whatever. You better keep your word because you now have two dates. Hopefully, Elias doesn't mind sharing,"

I laugh lightly, "We both know he WILL mind, but we will make it work,"

"Surely. See you soon,"

I slip my phone into my clutch and take one last look at the mirror. Liv wanted to make her party a formal one, and the final dress code was made to be black and white attire. I chose a simple black dress, with thin straps and a slit that reaches mid-thigh all ending off with black velvet Christian Louboutin heels.

I spent almost two hours curling my hair and styling it. Honestly, Liv should pay me for the amount of work I put into this.

I walk out of my room, realizing time is going by quickly.

As I close my bedroom door, I see that someone is leaning against the wall from the corner of my eye.

"Took you long enough," Elias says with a small smile.

I blatantly check him out, repeatedly.
His hair is sleeked back, showing more of his face. He wears all-black attire, with a black button-up shirt, black pants, and shiny black shoes. And his watch glistens with all the diamonds studded onto it.
