Jeremy's POV:
I woke up at 5am to see no one in bed with me. I sit up and panic not seeing Mike anywhere.
"Mike?" I call. When I hear nothing, I throw on a green shirt and a pair of jeans and run upstairs.
"Mike?!" I call again when I go up into our room. "Mike?!" I call before I feel a hand cover my mouth.
"Shhhh," the voice says. "You'll wake the kids," he whispers in my ear. I start to panic. My cries were muffled. I started to cry not knowing who it was. The man covered my eyes now. He took me downstairs and we heard the door open.
I tried to call but I couldn't.
"Who the hell are you?!" A familiar voice says. Mike. Then who's this? This isn't Mike scaring me?
"Shhh, you'll wake the kids," he said again. "Don't worry, I'm well known, aren't I son," he talks to me. Instantly I start to cry even more.
"Put him down you bitch! Leave him alone!" Mike yells. I hear a drawer open.
"Shhh, you'll wake the kids," my father repeats. He walks to I don't know where but then stops.
"Why don't you shut the fuck up and leave Jeremy alone! Why do you want him now if you never wanted him?!" Mike yells.
"He has unfinished work, right Jackal?" He laughs. I've changed my name so many times. Jackal was one of my names. I'll explain later.
"Unfinished work?" Mike asked. I heard footsteps run downstairs. My father let go of my mouth.
"Tell 'em what you can, James," he said.
"Mike, listen please, don't be scared, I've been soon this my whole life and I can't change it mow," I start. "Listen, take care of them, I'll be fine, I know what will happen," my voice cracked as my father let me fall to the floor.
"Jeremy," Mike ran over to me and hugged me.
"Mike," I said.
"I'm still here mister, I'd like to continue the job before something happens," my father says before kicking me. I let out a yelp of pain and Mike brought me closer. I glanced at the kids who watched in fear. I made Mike let go of me and stood up next to my father.
"I-I have to go," I said. "I want you guys safe please don't call the cops or anything, I'll be fine," I say before I walk out of my house. I see Mike follow and watch us leave the parking lot in my father's car.
