Part 2 G

It was so cold, the rain came down as ice. Once again, I wondered why someone would have a wedding in that type of weather.

Then I understood.

All of the attention is directed towards the bride and groom. In really nice weather, the body strives to explore the outside. All of the guests would be distracted if it weren't for the pellets of chunky ice falling through the air.

After the ceremony, I finally had a chance to talk to Annie. Things went well. We came to a mutual agreement in which we should stay in contact with each other.

"So, I can't believe that Terence caught a girl as sweet and pretty as you." Annie said. It was the start of our first conversation. I bit my lip, a habit of mine, and held back a laugh.

"It depends on your definition of caught."

From that moment on, Annie knew the truth about how we met, and why I was at her wedding. I saw the spark in her eye, and knew what she wanted.

"You two are so going to be together!"

I shook my head and shuddered, "Not in a million years." Annie handed me a $50 bill.

"If you're wrong, you owe me $50."

We kept in contact after that night. A week later we went to the theatre together. Two weeks after that, we split on a chocolate cake and ate it while binge watching Star Wars.

I would receive a text from her everyday, and slowly, ever so slowly,

Terence was pushed to the back of my mind.

Possibly lost, but never quite forgotten.
