Kel x Reader ✧ Rainy Night

It was movie night at Kel and Hero's house! Everyone was sitting on the couch enjoying the movie that you got to choose this time around. Well, everyone except for Hero and Mari since they just had to decide it was time for a "well needed date". How dare.

Basil had brought home baked chocolate chip cookies for the occasion, Aubrey had some leftover candies from Miss Candice (huehue) that she was unfortunately being stingy about , and Sunny was nibbling away on stale crackers. Obviously Kel had to supply the popcorn and...you didn't bring anything, but Kel said that your mere existence was enough. Besides, you were the one that suggested the movie.

The movie was coming to an end. As the plot twist was revealed, Kel shot up with enthusiasm, shouting. "AHA! I KNEW IT! WHO LET ME BE SO SMART?!" His leftover pieces of popcorn (admittedly, not much was left) were dispersed on the floor and as he noticed he shouted, "Even they (the popcorn) are in awe by my sheer psychic ability. Wow."

Aubrey glared at him for causing a ruckus during the best part of the movie and sighed, simultaneously shaking her head. You on the other hand. had to stifle your laughter. You had already seen the movie too many times, so the interruption really matter that much.

Kel sat back down and coughed whilst blushing from embarrassment, "Oops..."

Soon enough, the movie had finished and the credits were rolling. Towards the end, you could feel a little bzzt come from Basil's phone. He jumped slightly as he picked up his phone, reading the message. "O-Oh, Polly asked me to come home since dinner is done. I should get going. Sunny...uh, do you wanna walk with me? I know sometimes you zone out a little and...get lost." Sunny nodded his head in approval with the same blank expression plastered on his face.

Basil stood up and began walking towards the door. "Well, bye everyone! It was really nice to be here. Great movie by the way, (Y/N). Oh and uh, about my cookies...does anyone wanna keep them? I physically can't eat that many sweets..."

Kel enthusiastically responded, "I would love to have them!"

Aubrey rolled her eyes. "Don't hog them all for yourself!" She then spoke with an overly sweet tone, turning to Basil with a forced smile. "They were great, Basil. I'm sure we can all learn how to share."

"Yeah yeah, sure..." Kel responded sarcastically.

Basil opened the door with Sunny trailing behind him. "Heh...well, thanks! You can...do whatever you want with them. Have a nice night!" Basil waved with a small smile on his face, secretly proud that everyone had enjoyed his cookies that much.

Kel waved back. "Bye Basil! Bye Sunny! Stay safe! There's supposed to be a thunderstorm tonight."

Then it was just the three of you.

Aubrey placed her hands on her hips, looking towards the ground slightly. "Well...now what do you wanna do?"

You shrugged then though of a brilliant idea. "Hmmm, we can build a fort! Just like old times!"
