Apologies in advance for the short chapter. I hope it's enjoyable, anyways.

Picture of Matty the cat to the side as well as a great song by Hozier.

~Harry’s POV~

It had been an unproductive day so far.

I hadn’t gotten any paperwork done and my office was still a mess.

All I could think about was her.

Sage.

Her name alone sparked memories of the time we spent together and happiness flooded my system.

I wanted to be with her all the time, but I knew that wasn’t possible.

She was a free spirit and I couldn’t keep her locked up, no matter how big the urge.

It was one of the things I loved most about her.

Her spirit was bright and infectious and no one could help themselves when they fell in love with her.

I’m in love with her.

The realization shocked me, but at the same time I wasn’t surprised.

It had been three weeks since I had met her at my father’s funeral and I was completely and utterly in love with her.

“Mr. Osborn? I have the files you asked for.”

I cleared my throat and sat up straight as my assistant set a manila folder on my cluttered desk.

“Thank you, Felicia.” I said.

I saw her blood make its way up to her cheeks and I mentally rolled my eyes at her reaction.

It was flattering, but I didn’t want Felicia.

I wanted her.

Running a hand through my hair, I gathered stray papers and shoved them messily into a drawer.

I collected various pens and pencils and placed them in an empty cup that sat on the corner of my desk.

I’m not sure why the cup caught my eye, but it did.

Sighing, I picked it up and turned it around in my hands.

‘The Mug, the cafe you won’t forget.’

And I didn’t forget.

The Mug was the little coffee shop where Sage and I had our first date.

I closed my eyes and let the memory wash over me like a wave falling over the sand.

Her laughter rang clearly in my mind and I remembered every last detail, even the bouquet of green flowers that had sat on the table between us.

Shaking my head, I set the cup back down and the pencils and pens inside of it.

I snatched the file into my hands and opened it.
