Awesome song and a picture of Sage at the top!
~Sage's POV~
It was still raining.
Harry had left at unreasonable hour this morning to go to work.
I vaguely remembered him running his hands up and down my arms when he woke up, fumbling around my room to find the parts of his suit and pecking me on the nose as he left.
I would have started my day with him, but it was too damn early for me to even consider functioning.
Instead, I woke up around noon and started my day with Matty and a large cup of tea.
I was still half asleep when my phone started buzzing.
"This is Sage." I answered, absentmindedly stroking Matty's back.
"Hey, I've got a job for you."
"Holy hell, Bernie. It's been like three weeks. Did you find someone to replace me or something?"
Bernie was, in a way, my boss.
My official occupation was a freelance photographer, but most of my assignments came from Bernie.
He was short and kind of round and more times than not, he was a douche.
But he paid well and occasionally he gave me old camera equipment that he didn't use anymore, so I put up with him.
"You know I could never replace you, hot cakes. Well, I could. But I won't!" He cackled and then retched for a few moments.
Knowing that he couldn't see me, I rolled my eyes and made a face simultaneously.
"Anyways, I need you to go photograph the Oscorp tower and maybe interview some of its workers. We're writing an article on the new boss, Mr. Harry Osborn."
"Why?" I asked, curious as to why they cared.
"He's a twenty year old kid running a nearly billion dollar business! The people want to know how long it will take until he runs it into the ground. Your job is to get the employee's opinions and figure out how they feel about him. You have two days."
I was going to reply, to try and defend Harry against his harsh assumptions, but I was met with dead air.
Harry was smart.
He knew what he was doing and if he did happen to make a business mistake, he has people to help him out.
I let out a huge sigh and set my unfinished tea in the sink.
After getting dressed, I grabbed my camera and my keys.
I needed to talk to Harry.
I shoved the keys into the ignition and turned them, but the car didn't start.
