Bennett sits on the sofa. Beside him is Mori, who he forced to sit there. Across them are William and Louis, both are trying to figure out Bennett's motive. The rectangle table consists of four sides, in which the right of the shorter line is Albert sitting on a sofa fitted for one person.
"..." Albert didn't say a word. He silently glances at Bennett who is oddly cheerful than before. For some unknown reason, he finds him annoying.
"About the matter, we talked about before, I don't mind helping the empire a bit. Internal disputes among nobles are normal." Bennett agrees to help them with something Mori is not aware of.
'A bit.' Louis marked his words that he won't lend help often.
"Heh. The genius scientist is willing to help? Is there something that changed your mind?" Albert has a weary smile, feeling insecure. Bennett will add a condition after this.
"Consider this... as an exchange." Bennett wears his usual sly smirk.
William kept silent to observe the interaction. Finally, he spoke up, "Harmon, are you acquainted with Hadrian?"
Bennett puts down his cup of tea. He smirks. "There's no need for my confirmation, right Mori?" Mori did not reply. There is no need to.
"Do care to explain?" Albert has been glaring daggers since the start. He does not like this odd secrecy between Mori and Bennett.
"You asked a favor to create a batch of medicine, right? Mori here happens to be familiar with the odds of my work." Bennett glances at Mori. "You have nothing to do, right? Riiiiiiiiight?~ Help me out a bit." He shamelessly poking Mori's left cheek.
"I have a bakery." Mori turns away with a blank face.
"What's the big deal if you closed for a few more days? Just tell them you're sick or something." Mori can't be convinced with those mere words. Who would spend time with an older brother who managed to track you down even until the next life? No one.
"Harmon, are you implying that you will take Mori Hadrian as a trade for the medicine?" Louis doesn't like the idea either. His reason is that he witnessed Mori's cold-blooded nature. Handing over 'someone like that' to some experimenting freak is never a good idea.
