[Yo, finally an update lmao. So I reread the whole chapters of this book just for precautions. Btw this drinking party is NOT the one where Albert invites Irene Adler.]
The sky is bright. Although it's afternoon, Europe's afternoon sunlight isn't that intense compared to the Asia regions. Amongst the busy road of London is the carriage of the Harmon family. The family crest is decorated with golden outlines and the coach lines are also made of gold, a fair contrast to the body of the carriage that's shining black. Inside, the seats are soft and covered with maroon fabric. Although there are two sides to that seat, the two-person inside only use one side of the seat. "Bennett, isn't it still afternoon? And why are we heading to your mansion?" Mori says while looking at the rows of familiar old but recent London buildings through the carriage window. Bennett extends his hand and immediately covers the window with curtain drapes, blocking Mori's view.
"The clothes I promised are left there. I think it's more convenient if you change there." Due to his possessive nature, Bennet doesn't want any eyes prying onto his sibling. With a smile, he teases "Or do you perhaps want to change here? I have spare clothes, but it's my size."
"..." Mori looks at the pair of neatly folded suit and even tie, socks and shoes. It was the one he saw Bennett wear when meeting the Moriarty brothers. Mori imagines if he were to wear those clothes, the sleeves would be too long and cover his hands. He turns his head away. "No." Mori refuses without hesitation. With that, Bennett easily made Mori agree to go to his mansion. Although a bit disappointed, he still have another plan.
At the mansion, Bennett already dismissed his servants, leaving only two guards guarding the gate and the coachman waiting outside. The mansion is empty with not a single soul except both of them. Bennett leads the way along the lifeless hallway. The red carpet extends to every corner of the floor. Fancy wallpaper is glued to the walls and even the lamp design is unique. However, not a single picture was hung. "How come there's not a single picture of the other Harmon family members?"
"Hmm~ Let's say they were burned in a big fire incident at a birthday party. Traumatized by losing all other family members, the young master of the Harmon family refused to see another hanged picture of them." It's only a two sentences length short story but that's enough for Mori to understand what happened.
"...Mitsuo-nii..." Mori paused 'Was that necessary?'
"Isn't it more convenient that no one is there creating drama just for inheritance matters? That aside, to be reborn isn't part of my plan nor does it fall under my control. Meeting you again in this life... I guess we were bound together, Miu-chan." Bennett stops at a certain room at the end of the hallway. "The clothes are hung inside the closet. Don't mind the interior, it used to be the room of one of the dead Harmon children. I wouldn't call them my siblings, because there can be only one." Bennett smiles cheekily. "You."
"Alright, alright. I get it." Mori enters the room and locks it, leaving Bennett outside.
Stunned for a second, Bennett let out a low chuckle as he leans onto the wall beside the wooden door, crossing his arms and waiting for something.
"Mitsuo-nii... Do I have to wear this tie?"
"Well... It IS part of the dress code. Need my help?"
"No, I think I can handle this." Mori refuses to give up immediately. A few minutes later, a sigh was heard from the other side of the door. Mori unlocked the door from the inside and Bennett let himself in.
"Pfffft!" The first thing that caught Bennett's eyesight is a tie wrapped around Mori's neck. And it looks just like a hanging rope. "M-Miu-chan... Haha..." Bennett covers his mouth with his palm, holding his laughter. 'Why are you so cute?'
