"Let's go see Wale and the baby..."
That was Todo's suggestion, and I should've known better. As soon as we got to Wale's parents' mansion, I didn't even get a chance to see the baby. Who knew where Todo disappeared to? And from the way he just handed me off to Wale, it was obvious those two had planned this. Wale and his charming scheming probably coaxed Todo to bring me here.
Wale wasted no time dragging me to his room. He looked worn out, like he hadn't slept a wink since we last saw each other—fatherhood really suited him in the most chaotic way.
"I've craved your touch every single second, until I couldn't stand it. I'd spend my nights thinking of you... the way you look under me..." Wale's words, whispered close to my ear, practically scorched me, even as I tried to play it cool.
We were barely in his room, and it was clear he'd been preparing for my arrival: condoms on the nightstand, soft music, dim lights. The guy was a hopeless romantic and relentless!
"Wale, wait... at least let me shower—" But he didn't let me finish, sealing my words with a deep kiss that left me breathless. I finally managed to push him back to catch my breath. "Not so rough, you fool..."
But fighting him was pointless. He had me pinned against the door, his hands already exploring, my shirt halfway off, and each kiss left me moaning in a way that annoyed and thrilled me. It had been so long—I'd been starving for him without realizing it. Wale's breaths were ragged too, and I knew then this wasn't going to be quiet.
"They'll hear us, Wale..."
"I figured you'd say that, which is why I soundproofed it," he murmured, pressing a hand over my pounding heart. He was watching me with that intense look. "Today, you can scream all you want. Even if you beg me to stop, I'm not letting go."
Before I could respond, he lifted me, wrapping my legs around his waist, and started toward the bed. I considered putting up a fight but, let's be real—the way he was holding me so securely, I could only give in.
He dropped me onto the bed, stripping the rest of my clothes with that focused, almost sinister look.
"Beautiful..." he whispered, his eyes roving over me.
"Will you stop?" I mumbled, feeling the blush creep up my face.
"There won't be a free moment without you in my arms," he muttered, voice tinged with a hint of threat. "I'll make you tremble, make you scream my name until it's all you remember."
It was more than just desire in his voice—it was something deeper. And just like that, his mouth was on me, kissing everywhere, teasing me until I was a trembling mess, barely able to form words.
"Wale... I'm... I'm going to..."
But he didn't let up, his hands tight around my thighs, his mouth relentless. I felt my body surrender, a wave of heat washing over me, leaving me panting and shaky. And before I could even catch my breath, I felt his fingers, already teasing, coaxing me back into his grasp.
I opened my eyes, meeting his intense gaze. This wasn't the Wale I knew—this was someone overtaken by pure need. And it was a heady, terrifying feeling to know that I was the cause.
"Bunny, I want you—all of you. Just the two of us, safe and warm, in a world that's just ours..."
I barely heard him, his words getting lost in the haze of sensation as his fingers continued to work their magic. I was a mess, shivering, struggling to hold on.
"Stop teasing... I can't take..." I stammered, barely coherent.
"When you moan like that... I can't help myself." His voice was low, teasing.
I reached up, pulling him down for a kiss that quickly turned heated. There was no gentleness now—just hunger, raw and demanding. His mouth was everywhere—my neck, my chest, my stomach—and I couldn't keep quiet, my voice breaking in moans.
My back arched as another wave washed over me. I couldn't believe it, but I'd already come twice.
"Wale... I need... I need a break," I gasped, desperate for a moment to catch my breath. But he just smirked, clearly nowhere near done. When did he even strip? I'd been too lost in everything to notice.
"How can I let you rest when we're just getting started, Bunny? I'll make you pay for avoiding me for twenty-eight days."
Wait, had he been counting? I barely had a moment to register that before he was pressing into me, all sense of control gone as he started moving. It felt like he was everywhere, surrounding me, consuming me.
Every thrust pushed me further, the heat, the friction, his grip tight around me, grounding me and yet sending me spiraling. He moved closer, and I grabbed his face, our eyes meeting. His gaze was full of something raw and vulnerable, almost breaking me with its intensity.
Then he lifted me onto his lap, and a small scream escaped as he thrust even deeper.
"You can't..." I tried to protest.
"Just hold onto me. I'll take care of the rest," he murmured, a wicked smile playing on his lips. And he did, holding me close, moving faster, rougher. We were a mess, sweat-slicked, tangled in sheets, and lost in each other in ways I couldn't put into words.
Eventually, I passed out, too overwhelmed, too spent to even know when. I woke to find him lying beside me, that smug look plastered all over his face.
"Didn't think you'd like it enough to pass out on me," he teased.
Did I really pass out? I remembered the last time that happened—with my ex, who hated Wale so much he'd ended things with me. I sat up, regretting it immediately as a sharp pain shot through my back. Wale nudged me back down, chuckling as he kissed my neck again.
"Todo's been waiting with baby Kai for hours. He won't let even the nanny near her," Wale added, smirking.
"Todo! I forgot all about him." I tried to sit up again, wincing.
"Rest, Bunny. You'll need it. Besides, I didn't realize Todo could be such a softie. He's been attached to Kai since he got here."
"How long was I out?"
"Just under an hour, but don't worry. We were going at it for much longer than that. I'm hoping you and Todo will stay the night... well, it was Todo's idea. Seems like he's got a soft spot for Kai."
"That's what you're calling her? Seriously, Wale, you're terrible with names..."
"I couldn't think of anything else yet."
"So you went with the first thing that sounds like my name?"
"Of course."
"Her middle name's already mine, though! Come on, name her after your mom or Cherry's."
"Todo likes 'Kai,' too. It's starting to grow on me."
"Kai Kind? That sounds ridiculous for a baby's name..."
"Swalha's a fan, too, and the staff's getting used to it."
I rolled my eyes, realizing he'd already managed to get everyone on his side. "So you're just trying to get me on board by pushing it from every angle?"
He tried to defend himself but clearly struggled. It was almost funny watching him fumble for an answer, knowing he'd manipulated everyone else into liking the name.
I sighed, too tired to keep arguing. He looked exhausted himself. "You look terrible, Wale. Has Kai been keeping you up every night?"
"Just like you, K..."
"Ugh, that's a terrible line! Find another name, please."
Wale just laughed, and I lay back, smiling despite myself, thinking that maybe, just maybe, I'd let him keep his ridiculous name after all.
