"Let's go see Wale and the baby..."
That was Todo's suggestion, and Kind should've known better. As soon as they'd gotten to Wale's parents' mansion, Kind didn't even get a chance to see the baby. Also, who knew where Todo disappeared to? And from the way she just handed Kind off to Wale, it was obvious those two had planned this.
'Wale and her charming schemes probably coaxed Todo to bring me here,' Kind deduced.
Wale wasted no time dragging Kind towards her room. She appeared worn out, as if she hadn't slept a wink since they last saw each other. Motherhood really suited her in the most chaotic way.
"I've craved your touch every single second, until I couldn't stand it. I'd spend my nights thinking of you... the way you look at me all the times..." Wale's words, whispered close to Kind's ear, practically scorched him, even as he tried to play it cool. Wale was not shy at all, in fact, it would have been weirder to Kind if she were.
They were barely in her room, and it was clear she'd been preparing for Kind's arrival: condoms on the nightstand, soft music, dim lights. The woman was a hopeless relentless romantic!
"Wale, wait... at least let me shower... I've been out all day in the field with Todo and..." But she didn't let Kind finish, sealing his words with a deep kiss that rendered each of them breathless.
Kind finally managed to push her back to catch my breath. "I don't practically hate your aggressive nature but you are rather too excited today..." He had Wale pinned against the door, his hands already exploring, Wale's blouse halfway off, and each kiss left her moaning in a way that annoyed and thrilled her for Wale had wanted to take charge this time. It had been so long... She'd been starving for him without realizing it until it'd become too much to bare; what with him always spending time with other women...! Like Todo!
Wale's breaths were ragged too, and she knew then that this wasn't going to be quiet affair. Kind as it seemed had missed her too. Even so, she was tempted to put him to rest.
"Why are you always so gentle with me?"
"They'll hear us, Wale..."
"I figured you'd say that, which is why I soundproofed this room. Our room," she murmured, pressing a hand over Kind's pounding heart.
Kind was watching her with that intense look, one that he always gave her. "Then today, you can scream all you want. Even if you beg me to stop, I'm not letting go."
Before Wale could respond, Kind lifted her and started toward the bed. She considered putting up a fight but, with the way he was holding her so securely, she could only give in.
He dropped her onto the bed, stripping the rest of her clothes with that focused, almost sinister look.
"Beautiful..." he whispered, his eyes roving over her.
"Will you stop?" Wale mumbled, feeling the blush creep up her face.
"There won't be a free moment without you in my arms," Kind muttered, his voice tinged with a hint of threat. "I'll make you tremble, make you scream my name until it's all you remember."
It was more than just desire in his voice, it was something deeper. And just like that, his mouth was on her, kissing everywhere, teasing her until she was a trembling mess, barely able to form words.
But Kind didn't let up, his words becoming actions. Wale felt her body surrender, a wave of heat washing over her, leaving her panting and shaky. And before she could even catch her breath, Kind was already teasing, coaxing her back into his grasp.
Wale opened her eyes, meeting his intense gaze. This wasn't the Kind she knew, this was someone overtaken by pure need. And it was a heady, terrifying feeling to know that she was the cause.
"Bunny, I want you...all of you. Just the two of us, safe and warm, in a world that's just ours..."
Kind barely heard her, her words getting lost in the haze of sensation. Kind was a was a mess too, shivering and struggling to hold on.
Wale reached up, pulling him down for a kiss that quickly turned heated. There was no gentleness now, just hunger, raw and demanding. His mouth was everywhere from her neck, chest, stomach...and Wale couldn't keep quiet, her voice breaking in moans.
Her back arched as another wave washed over her. She couldn't believe it, but she'd already surrendered twice.
"Bunny... I need... I need a break," she gasped, desperate for a moment to catch her breath, but Kind just smirked, clearly nowhere near done. When did he even strip? She'd been too lost in everything to notice.
"How can I let you rest when we're just getting started? In fact, you started all this."
"But you were avoiding me for twenty-eight days."
"Wait, you've been counting?" Kind asked. He moved closer, and Wale grabbed his face, their eyes meeting. His gaze was full of something vulnerable, almost breaking her with its intensity.
"That look again. You have loved me all these years, haven't you?"
"Just hold onto me. I'll take care of the rest," Kind murmured in response, a wicked smile playing on his lips. And he did, holding Wale closer, faster, persisting... They were a mess, sweat-slicked, tangled in sheets, and lost in each other in ways Wale couldn't put into words.
Eventually, she passed out, too overwhelmed, too spent to even know when. She woke to find him lying beside her, a smug look plastered all over his face.
"Didn't think you'd like it enough to pass out on me," he teased.
Wale sat up, regretting it immediately as a sharp pain shot through her back. Kind nudged her back down, chuckling as he kissed her neck again.
"Todo's been waiting with baby Kai for hours. He won't let even the nanny near her," Kind added, smirking. "I didn't realize Todo could be such a softie. She's been attached to Kai since she got here."
"How long was I out?"
"Just under an hour, but don't worry. We were going at it for much longer than that."
"I'm hoping you and Todo will stay the night... well, it was Todo's idea. Seems like she's got a soft spot for Kai."
"That's what you're calling her? Seriously, Wale, you're terrible with names..."
"I couldn't think of anything else yet."
"So you went with the first thing that sounds like my name?"
"Of course."
"Her middle name's already mine, though! Come on, name her after your mom or Cherry's."
"Todo likes 'Kai,' too. It's starting to grow on me."
"Kai Kind? That sounds ridiculous for a baby's name. You're punishing a toddler for nothing."
"Swalha's a fan, too, and the staff's getting used to it."
Kind rolled his eyes, realizing Wale had already managed to get everyone on her side. "So, you're just trying to get me on board by pushing it from every angle?"
Wale tried to defend herself but clearly struggled. It was almost funny watching her fumble for an answer, knowing she'd manipulated everyone else into liking the name.
Kind sighed, too tired to keep arguing. He looked exhausted himself, but she looked even worse. "Has... Kai been keeping you up every night?"
"Just like you, K..."
"Ugh, that's a terrible line! Find another name, please."
Wale just laughed, and then lay back, smiling despite herself thinking that maybe, just maybe, he'd let her keep his ridiculous name after all.
