Realizations

Follows the events of episode 10. Enjoy!

Ricky was not able to sleep. He  did everything he could to make himself fall asleep. But nothing was working. If anything it made him feel more awake. This had been happening a lot these last couple of days. What was keeping him awake you ask? Well, let's just say a curly haired dancer who was good at everything had been clouding his thoughts a lot. 

Ever since he heard about EJ liking Gina he had been very distracted and out of his element. A feeling he could not quite place always seem to develop inside him whenever he saw Gina laughing and talking with EJ. That was a lie. He knew what it was. It was jealousy. he just didn't want to admit it. It was the  same feeling he experienced when  he found out about Nini and EJ dating last semester. It was not a nice feeling.  And even worse was the fact that Carlos had to point it out for him. How could he be so oblivious? In hindsight, it was obvious. EJ rejected by Nini and Gina, heartbroken by Ricky. It was a classic love story. They were bound to end up together. 

With all these thoughts in mind, he laid his head on his pillow and let out a frustrated sigh. All he wanted was someone to talk to, to vent out all his feelings. Someone who would patiently listen to him and offer him advice. Someone who got him. 

Someone like Gina.

He turned to his side and closed his eyes. All the memories he had shared with Gina flashing in his head. 

Finally after some dawdling around the house and staring at the ceiling, he felt his eyes getting droopy and flutter shut. But not even an 4 hours later he was being shaken by his dad . 

"Dad! What is it?" asked Ricky his voice sleepy.

"What is it? You are late for school! Get a move on!"

"What? I just got to sleep like 4 hours ago ! It can't be more than 6 right?"

"No. It's 8 AM right now. School starts in 30. Just get up!"

Was Ricky really thinking about Gina for that long?

Reluctantly, he got out of bed and got ready for the day.

The ride to school was full of realizations hitting out of nowhere. And him coming to terms with it.  He knew 3 things at that moment-

He thought about Gina way more than normal

He liked Gina- No he was completely and utterly in love with Gina Elizabeth Porter and he wasn't afraid to say it. 

But the worse realization was that Gina was ignoring him. 

The third one wasn't new. he had known that for a long time now. Ever since Gina told him to not confide in about Nini to her. Ever since Gina ignored him while he asked if they could partner up for the mirroring exercise. Believe me. He knew. But that didn't stop him from trying. If he could even get a word out of her, he would consider that a success. But for now, he had to get through school.

Hey! This is my first fic. I hope you like this. Sorry if this chapter is too short.  I love them and I hate we aren't getting any on the show. There aren't many stories for this tag.
