FIVE MONTHS LATER

Lisa

"Are you sure you're ready for this?"

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be girlfriend."

Chaeyoung's skin was glowing with a fresh tan and her hair was healthier than it'd been in a long time. Thick black waves tumbled down to her shoulders, giving her a more mature, sophisticated look. We linked arms and I walked with her downstairs, our heels clicking in time against the hardwood floor.

Rosie was determined to throw a summer BBQ to celebrate her return to Melody and her five-month sobriety. When Jennie and I decided the timing was right, I took it upon myself to tell Rosé that we were moving out of Seoul and, despite her heartbreak, she was adamant we made her welcome home party into a joint farewell do as well.

I could hear voices in the backyard already, and I squeezed Chae's hand, double checking she was alright as we neared the party.

"There's no turning back now. How's about Chaelisa make one final entrance this summer before our infamous duo disbands?"

Tears shimmered in her almond eyes and I could feel my nose tingling, a sign that I was set to burst as well. "Let's do it. I love you Roseanne Park."

"I love you more Lali. You're my ride or die."

I didn't have a chance to respond before someone noticed our presence and wolf whistled, alerting everyone that we'd arrived. I made room for Chae to take center stage, smiling from the sidelines as she was approached with hugs, kisses and comments about how she'd never looked better.

My attention was torn away from Rosie when I felt two warm hands caress my waist and pull me in for a much needed backhug.

"You okay Lilibug?"

"I am now. You?"

"Never better."

Jen peppered gentle kisses along my jaw and neck as she walked us over to the water feature in the back corner of the garden. Once we were obscured by the marble fountain, she kissed me deep and slow, her tight grip on my hair making a mess of my curls. I loved it.

"What took you guys so long?" She growled, biting on my bottom lip. "I was forced to engage in tedious chat with Wendy, talk about boring!"

"I'm sorry." I giggled, licking her nose. "Chae couldn't find her left shoe, and then my dress wouldn't zip up, it was chaos up there."

"At least you both came down looking stunning. I almost snatched Rosie for another kiss instead."

"Nini!"

"I'm kidding!" She jibed, raising her hands in defense. "In all seriousness though, you're looking particularly delectable this evening Miss Manoban."

Jen asked me to twirl on the spot, so I happily obliged, blushing when she began to clap. "Why thank you Miss Kim." Her hand snaked up the slit in my maxi dress and I shuddered at the feeling of her fingertips grazing my thong before snapping it back into the crease in my thigh. "Jennie, you're killing me."

I leant forwards to catch her lips with mine but she dodged me, straightening up my outfit.

"They'll be plenty of time for that later." I pouted, the sensation between my legs frustrating me beyond belief. "Come on Lili, it'd be rude not to attend our final get-together as residents of Melody Street."

Luca's room was a mess and I stood in the middle of it with my arms crossed, confused as to why this place was in the exact same condition I left it in two hours ago.
