Day 5:// the walk:

We left the house quite quickly. It was nice to get some fresh air... Or... I don't even know what kind of air it is but it's nice.
We stroll along the block and don't say anything for a little while, we eventually reach the forest in block F which is actually quite dangerous compared to some of the blocks, but it's not the worse.
We took about fifteen steps into the forest and I already shivered, it's always cold in there.
Jeff saw me shiver and whispered "You get use to it" and held my hand in the attempt to warm it up.
There wasn't much said for a little bit, there was the odd joke about a tree looking like inappropriate body parts and the occasional crazy looking bug, but apart from that we didn't really talk about anything.
And then we reached a large opening in the west wing of the forest. The forest doesn't actually have wings they are just called that. We entered through the south wing, and now we're in the west wing. North and East wing are more of the scarier parts, but the west wing is really nice, there's even a few cute lampposts now and again.
After a long walk, we found this small cave like thing, under a tree. Jeff crouched down to look at it and pulled a lighter out from his pocket.
"You smoke?" I ask worryingly,
He smiled. The word "No." Slipped from his mouth, echoing slightly.
"Why do you have a lighter then?" I ask childishly, he looked up at me and stood up and pulled something out of his pocket that looked something like a cigarette but bigger and whiter, like a small stick covered in tissue.
I was confused.
"It's like a cigarette, but it doesn't do anything bad to you... Just costs a fortune." He giggled, I was still confused.
"Why do you have it if it just costs a lot of money." I ask. I mean, really though? Why would you buy something just for the sake of it?
He looked at me for a second, then back to the cigarette thing.
"It's called a chliner, which sounds really stupid. It helps you calm down."
"Why would you need to calm down?" I ask hesitantly
"Just in case I got mad at something and it's instead of doing bad things."
"Bad things?"
"Like what happened last night." He said quite quickly, like he wanted to say it but he didn't want it to be mentioned again.
So I didn't mention it.
Even though I really, really wanted to talk about it. I knew I shouldn't.

He lit the uh, whatever that things called, and blew some of the smoke into my face.
I swung my hand in front of my face and choked a little.
He laughed a little and put the (I'm just gonna call it a cigarette because it's honestly so much easier) cigarette by his side.
I laughed quietly and rubbed my arms gently.
He glanced at me and pointed the 'cigarette' at me. "You wanna try?" He asked, a small smirk hiding on his face.
"I'll die." I giggled.
Jeff walked up to me and held my hand and put the cigarette in my hand.
"You just suck it." He whispered,
"Excuse me?"
"Wait..."
We both bursted into laughter and after a minute we caught each other's eye.
"I don't wanna suck it.." I giggle,
Jeff walks up to me and lifts my hand with the cigarette in, to my mouth. He lifted his finger to my mouth and opened it slightly and put the cigarette in my mouth.
I felt really awkward. Like he couldn't trust me to do it myself.
It made me feel like a baby. And I didn't like that.
I grabbed his hand and moved it away from my mouth and he dropped it to his side.
"Sorry." He whispered sharply.
I lifted the cigarette away from my mouth.
"Don't be sorry" I stuttered, reaching out to his hand;
I stopped myself though.
I didn't want him to feel bad like he did last night.
So i was just there looking down at my hand, lost.
He glanced at me and saw me looking at my hand, and held it.
He smiled.
I didn't smile because I was looking at him smiling. So he stopped smiling.
He shook his hand slightly to get out of my grip, but I didn't want that.
"No." I whispered, tightening my grip on his hand.
He looked at me sweetly, but the smile on his face turned into a small bit of shock and a small bit of shame. He looked away and pulled his hand away from me.
He turned away from me, facing back at the cave. Clouds started to roll over the sun, making it a bit dark and shady, the trees already blocked out some of the sun so it was really rather dark.
"You deserve better..." Jeff whispered, slightly turning his towards me but not so much that I could see his face.
"Excuse me?" I whispered back,
I heard a shiver in his voice and a quiet reply... "You're an amazing.... Beautiful person, Cheyenna. You deserve better than me."
"Why is that up to you?"
"I never said it was I just know that you deserve much better."
"But what if..." I pause.
He looked at me, but he still isn't fully looking at me.
I stayed silent, I didn't want to ruin anything or upset or offend Jeff.
I heard Jeff sigh and move as if he was about to say something until we heard some yelling coming from the South Wing...
"Cheyenna! Jeff! You two where are you?!"
It was Jack, and whatever he was doing, he was in a hurry. He sounded worried and scared.
His footsteps became louder and louder until we saw him.
He came up to a tree really close to us and leant on it panting.
"You guys..." He took a breath..."you guys need to come and see this."
Jeffs attitude changed instantly.
"What's happening?" Jeff asked sharply.
"Rose, Rebecca, Zero, Charlotte, Zyena, Tanya and all of the girls have started disappearing.... They think it has to do with..." There was a short silence..."it."

Jeff grabbed my wrist and started to drag me with him, keeping me close to his side.
"Where's Gracie?" Jeff asked, still pulling me along side him.
"She's with Seb, Jack and Ben are there too, she's inside. She's safe." Jack said rather quickly.

I had so many questions at this point in time:
Why are the girls disappearing?
Who is 'it'?
Why haven't I disappeared yet?
Am I going to disappear?
Where are they disappearing to?
Why aren't any boys disappearing?
Will Gracie disappear too?
Are they killing the girls?
Am I going to die?

By the time I had time to think about these questions and think of stupid unreasonable answers, we were out of the forest and heading towards Sebs house.
Sebs house is really mysterious and beautiful, it's a matte black and has large windows but the windows aren't quite see through, the house is really rather beautiful.
As we got closer we could see some large, evil looking figures slamming on the door. Jack ran past us and Jeff yelled at him to come back, so he did.
But... 'They' heard us and turned around.
Their faces looked like skulls with parts of skin drooping from the bits of bones which didn't have blood on.
They looked like death. They looked like they were my death.
Jeff pushed me behind him and kept his hand on my side, but he wasn't gripping onto me, just resting his hand on me, making sure I was still there.
I was shaking slightly as they came closer to us. I held onto Jeffs shoulder and I had to jump. Yes actually jump. To see over his shoulder. Bearing in mind I was 5'6 with these heels on, and he is 6'2 without any shoes on. (Without my heels on in 5'2)... I'm short okay.

After the awkward jump, I got a glance of the 'death crew', there was three of them, they were all wearing black cloaks which looked rather ragged, and it looked as if they were floating. They literally looked like my version of death.
As they edged closer to us, I could feel them getting closer... There was a low humming getting louder and louder, like the sound a hover car would make.
I started to shake even more now, my breathing was starting to get heavier, I tried to calm down but I couldn't.
As they got closer to us Jeff stepped closer to them and hit them. One of them hit back and it looked like Jeff broke his arm or something.. I heard a loud crack and one of them fell to the floor.
Another one of the death ghost silhouettes went up to Jeff and started to attack him, but my vision was starting to blur now. My head was spinning and I could slowly feel myself fading away.
I could vaguely see one of the dead ghosts coming towards me. I started to back away slowly but it wasn't quite fast enough. I pulled myself back and slipped onto the floor. I couldn't move. I felt weak, tired, useless... Useless....

A ghostly hand moved towards me but didn't reach me. Jeff grabbed the figures head and... Literally... Crushed it....
I was so scared. I was thankful that that thing didn't touch me. God knows what it was going to do to me.

I was stunned. Frozen in shock.
Jeff crouched down next to me and lifted me up and I grabbed onto his shoulders.
I rested my head on Jeffs chest; when I lifted it up I saw the ghostly bodies fading away into the ground, their bones started to sink into the concrete ground and their cloaks just disintegrated into the concrete.

I shook myself out of his arms and stumbled to my feet.
I tried to speak but I couldn't.
"It's okay." Jeff said, gripping onto my shoulder, pressing me against him so that I wouldn't fall.
"They drain you." Jack said, creeping over towards us, kicking the now dead-dead corpses.
"I'm tired." I whisper, clinging onto Jeffs arm. "I'm really tired."
"Lets get you to bed then." Jeff whispered, leaning in towards me.
"Okay." I whispered even quieter.
"Jack, go check on those lot." Jeff sniffed nodding towards Sebs house.

Jeff lifted me back into his arms and my eyes shut almost immediately, but before I fell asleep I felt a slight kiss on my forehead. It felt nice. It made me happy, I felt safe.
