My eyes opened slowly. I was still really tired but I couldn't get back to sleep.
I turned onto my side and looked at my surroundings, I was in my room.
I heard faint voices coming from downstairs but I was too tired to focus.
I heard Jeff and jacks voice though, and they didn't sound angry or annoyed at each other so I just stayed in bed.Later on I did manage to drag myself out of bed, I dropped my feet to the floor and stretched.
Jeff and Jack were still talking and since my ears were not covered with the quilt anymore, I could hear better.
I started to get dressed and (not on purpose) I was listening to their conversation.
"You have to tell her one day." Jeff spoke, it sounded like he was trying to be quiet incase I was trying to listen,
"How would I tell her though?"
"I don't know. Wait a bit though, a lot has happened since she's came here."
"I don't think it likes her being here."
"It was fine with everyone else."
I was putting my jumper on now, but this time I was trying to hear what they were saying, considering they were talking about me.
"Maybe it's because of... You know..."
"Yeah. I know. But why would that bother it?"
"Maybe he doesn't like families?"
Family? Who's family? What family??
I was dressed by now, a cute pastel pink jumper with black ripped skinny jeans.
I slowly edged my way out of the door and peeked out into the corridor. Jeff and Jacks voices became louder.
I snook down the corridor and peered around the wall to look down the stairs. I saw Jeff and Jack. They weren't saying anything though, just looking a bit sad.
"Maybe." Jack whispered, the word slipping through his hand which was covering his mouth.
"Don't worry," Jeff whispered, holding Jacks shoulder with a small sweet smile on his face... "We will protect her, it's scared of us, he won't lay a finger on her."
"He nearly did." Jack said, sniffling once or twice,
"That wasn't it, they are not it."
I'm guessing they are talking about those ghost things. Since one of them did nearly touch me.
"They would of taken her to it though."
"Yeah." Jeff whispered, taking his hand off of Jacks shoulder.
"He took Jill off of me, he's not taking my sister as well."
Sister? Is that Gracie?
Probably. At that point I waddled down the corridor a little and walked down it again, making some loud noises so they knew that I was coming.
I heard someone walking into the kitchen and I'm guessing it was Jack, that's this cover up, going into the kitchen.
I heard the fuzz of a radio and then a song played which was very familiar,
Bring me the horizon: Can you feel my heart. Quite a old song. I prefer Drown. But anyway, I walked down the stairs and I was greeted by Jeffs cute smile.
Wait, no, not cute, no. No.
No.
I was greeted by Jeffs, not cute, smile.
There.
I smiled back at him and he opened his arms out as if he wanted a hug.
"Why?" I asked, slightly confused.
"Why not?" Jeff asked sarcastically.
I giggled a little and walked into his arms and hugged him.
He's always warm. Even if it's cold and breezy, he is always warm. And it's nice, it makes him act like a big teddy bear. He's a cute- NO NOT CUTE.
I do NOT have a crush on him. I DONT.I just find him really cute.
Shit. After we finished hugging I jumped back a little, he was still smiling. He never stops smiling at me, I don't k ow whether it's the smile which is carved into his face which gives me the illusion of a smile or if he is actually smiling at me.
"Did you have a nice sleep?" Jeff asked sweetly, still smiling a little.
"Uh... Yeah." I stuttered, still a bit concerned and confused about the conversation which Jeff and Jack were just on about, and obviously don't want me to know about it.
"You seem sad..." He whispered, his smile dropped off of his face, "are you okay?"
I paused for a minute, "yeah." I whispered, hoping that he wouldn't investigate or search me or something.
He held my hand and took me through to the room with the loud music playing, the song had nearly finished so I was slightly disappointed.
I was welcomed with Jacks smile, he held out his hand and waved slightly. He couldn't speak because he had a spoon in his mouth. It looked like he was icing some cakes or something, i did see some sort of cake behind him so I guess that is what he was doing.
He didn't try to hide the cake, in fact, he actually pointed it out to me and gestured that it was for a birthday by holding up candles, and then he stood really tall and waved his arms around.
"It's Sebs birthday tomorrow so Jack wanted to make him a cake." Jeff said, trying to be as serious as possible, but Jacks impersonation of Seb made us all laugh.
"It's his birthday tomorrow?!" I asked surprised. How was I suppose to know? I don't know anyone's birthday here apart from my own. April 20th.
"Yes, that's why we're making a cake." Jeff said mocking me.
A new song had came now, twenty one pilots, kitchen sink.
Yes that is what the song is called.
I love that song.
Anyway, after stealing some icing from the bowl Jack was guarding, I walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. Jeff followed.
I dropped myself onto the sofa (or as Jeff calls it, 'bed number two.') and Jeff stood in front of me and the TV. He also slumped himself onto the sofa, lifting my legs up so he could sit down though. He put my legs back down, but on his lap, it didn't seem to bother him so I left it. I was too tired to move anyway. I rested my head on the arm rest and rubbed my feet slightly, I can't relax if I don't rub them together, it warms me up.
Jeff giggled a little bit and I felt him relax, he rested his arms on my lap and turned the TV on. Like usual, he watched the news.
"You're boring." I giggle.
"What?! The news is nice, you see all the drama that's going on outside of this place." Jeff said back, joking slightly but you could hear the desperation to get out of here. I have to admit... There isn't much to do. Yeah you can go play some games and walk in a forest but... You can't do anything... Normal, like what I'm use to. Everything here is... Well it's fake.
"I guess so," I murmured, "it only shows the bad things though, like war and shootings and kidnapping and stuff..."
"I know." Jeff whispered, as if I've told him a million times before. Which I haven't, I've told him once before.
Then I thought that I was being annoying. So I didn't say anything after that.
I closed my eyes and listened to the voices on the TV...
I remember last time we watched the news Jeff got really upset, I was saying in my head 'please no murder ' 'please no murder' 'please no murder'... Then I remembered when I hugged him after he got upset and how nice it was to hug him.
