name: jane

Today, George and I had been staying outside for a few hours at mid-day just to welcome anymore sun before it disappeared for Winter. It was the middle of September and so the sun's disappearance for a few months was just right around the corner.

I had been in the kitchen, putting George some biscuits on a plate for when we would come in from outside sat by the fire with a hot chocolate or something to make us cozy. George loved his biscuits, the wrong ones were bad and the good ones I could never get enough of.

Walking outside, I held the plate of biscuits in my hand, when I saw George I thought to serve it and see whether he wanted these. I held it like it was a famous dish.

"What have ye got there?" George laughed, he was wearing some pretty blacked out sunglasses and he had his legs crossed straight and his hands behind his head. Enjoying the sun. He didn't bother to open his eyes too much, only a squint to see my appearance. I stood in front of him, holding the plate on the tips of my fingers like it was Ratatouille or something special.

"Biscuits, do you want any fo-"

"Jane, you're in the sun love!" George giggled with his thick accent, he opened his eyes this time due to the warmth of the sun being blocked by my shadow. I thought about moving but there's always a harder and more fun option..

"What was that?" I ask sarcastically, I like it when he gets annoyed, I like his voice. I put the plate of biscuits on the grass and George began to thank me.

"Did you hear me, luv?" He laughed, not understanding my stupid flirting yet.

"Oh, well I'm not moving," I quickly muttered before he thought I'd give in. No, I am not that easy!

"Jane, don't make me move you..." He giggled but he was getting sterner; what I wanted.

"What if that's what I want?" I smirked and then put my tongue on the inside of me cheek, knowing he couldn't see what I was getting across. He lifted his sunglasses up and gave me a friendly frown, he smiled too.

"I saw that,"

"Whoops," I laughed softly, trying to be as feminine as I could, "You know, it's quite lovely with the sun shining on your back,"

"Yeah, I quite miss it, now
move please," he playfully laughed and closed his eyes, thinking I was going to move. I wasn't.

A few seconds of George getting annoyed, he got up, "Jane, that's it, you've spoiled my sun time!" He laughed quietly as he got off from the lounger and came towards me with a posture as if he was going to pick me up. Yes, I was swooped up and I laughed happily that he gave in, I hope so.

"Can you give me some Jane time? This is a bridal style way of picking a gal up, George..!" I smirked as I held him close to me while my arms wrapped around his neck. I saw the biscuits on the grass as I looked behind his, "George, the biscuits!"

He continued to walk through in our house and he walked past the kitchen, turning left into the lounge. It was dark and dim but cosy. A few lamps lit our surroundings and the fire was awaiting to be the source of our heat. He dropped me carefully onto the fluffy rug, I held onto him still though and once I was released from his grip,
I stayed within close distance of him.

"You'll be out of the sun this way," George smirked but it was faint as there wasn't much lighting in here at all, "I'll make a fire,"

George began to get some newspapers from the fireplace box, reaching into his pocket for a lighter. Sadly, his swimming trunks didn't hold one, safety first! "Lighter?"

I turned around behind me, holding my knees up to my chest still. I reached a metal lighter from the top of the cabinet that we had all our records in. Plenty we had, hundreds, and that was just our collection that we bought together. George chucked some thin layers of newspaper onto the fireplace, scrunching each letter and font into a burnable size before he held his hand out for me to pass the lighter

"Should we put a record on?" George asked as he attempted to take the lighter from me, I had a tight-ish grip on it so he'd struggle a little. I didn't know what had gotten into me, after three years of us being together, today is the day I've felt so... passionate about him. So it says the sun makes you horny, there not much sun anymore so I think it's just still falling in love.

"Don't start, I will rip it off ye!" He laughed loudly as I loosened my grip, smiling. He knew my tricks, he always fell for them but that was because he never knew them like the back of his hand, more like palm..

The newspaper glowed orange and I started to feel warmth on my face from the fire. I beamed once he put the the lighter by the side and he laid down, resting on his elbows. He closed his eyes softly and I thought out going over to him and just cuddling up to him. So I took thoughts to action.

"You can't resist me love, not nowww-" George began as I sat on him in the most less flirty way possible. He was surprised to say the least, still tired and drowsy from the coziness of the fire. I just wanted to be with him, I was a bit clingy like that. Once he realised I wasn't going to take his clothes off, he let me cuddle up to him.

"You just wanted some love, you could of said,"

I looked up to him with tired eyes, smirking slightly to the sound of how that came out.

"No! You and your impulses, tut tut!" He laughed softly and kissed my forehead, I set it on his chest, I was in heaven..

"George," I mumbled after a few minutes of laying on him comfortably, he was so tired and so was I, "You forgot the biscuits.. outside,"

No, I didn't really care about the biscuits and none of us were even awake enough to go and get them, he mumbled to my awareness of his favourite biscuits and kissed my head once again, "Night, J"
