running around the corner I came face to face with the marines, I had to make a snap decision if they were going to call me a fire angel I was going to be a fire angel. 

discreetly opening a portal behind me I pulled out one of my swords (2-intro) the hilt had a black scull and halfway down the sword, it split into 2.

"you boys ready to play with fire?" saying the trigger words 'play with fire' the sword started spitting fire. I drew a line on the ground lighting the hall ablaze. if anyone wanted to get us now they would have to leap over the burning floor.

 I didn't have it in me to fight, through the pain was dulled by adrenalin but my wrists were burning, pieces of the still very hot cuffs were embedded onto my wrists.

"nova!" law's voice called out. it distracted me enough that the creepy marine from earlier got past my wall, his face was badly burned.  he swung his sword like his injuries didn't affect him and I countered barely holding my sword up. 

we brock away, I was barely dodging his attacks.

"fuck" I was starting to sweat the pain finally overtaking the adrenalin. 

"hahaha you thought you were tough!" the marine sneered "but look you're just a week little girl"

"law!" I wasn't above asking for help, and right now I needed it.

he came around the corner just as I was dodging another attack, the man nicked my cheek and blood trickled down my face.

"room" law emedetly got into action, he was by my side and the man was in pieces.

"nova what happened?" he picked me up like a child, I wrapped my legs around his waist and rested my head on his shoulder, I was getting tired.

"oh you know, melted my hands yada yada." his long strides took us quickly away from the fire and mess of a man he had made.

sighing he walked through the airlock onto the sub "ill take a look." knowing we were safe I closed my eyes, not before seeing sabo hugging koala. 'i ship them'

I woke up with law bandaging my wrists.

"ah, you're awake. I have some questions." his eyes held a seriousness I hadn't seen before, sure he was typically serious but this seemed different. 

"ok, go ahead." gulping I tried calming my nerves, why did his eyes make me so nervous.

"How did you get out of the sea stone?" I tense that's exactly what I didn't want him to ask. "when I was working on your wrists I couldn't use my devel fruit because there were bits of stone melted into your wrist. how were you able to fight and use your ability?"

I liked law he seemed nice but honestly, I don't know if I can trust him. back in my world id only gotten to the new word in the anime I barely knew anything about him. the only things I know are the spoilers id seen online. 

"ok. I'm trusting my gut so ill tell you. I don't have a devil fruit I was given wishes, and I used them wisely." ok so that might not be the full truth but I was scared to say more. 

"wishes?" he seemed about to ask more.

"nova! you awake." Demitri came into the room nealing down at my side. law gave him a glare for interrupting us but I was happy. 

"Demitri...  we were having a privet conversation." law was pointedly ignored.

"nova you need to be more careful." Demitri's eyes behind the cold front were worried. he pulled out a bandaid with bunnies all over it and placed it carefully on my cheek.
