Chapter Five

i have been traveling for quite some time, maybe a few days and i have no idea ware i am but i see an island ahead.

'mite as well take a brake.' i swim up a stream deeper into the island and whisper tail once im on dry land.

"wow im tired, its a nice night mite as well sleep outside." i let Sheva out before curling up into a ball on the soft grass falling asleep within seconds.

Zoro POV

its early in the morning and im heading to the stream to train. 

after an hour of training i hear yelping like from a dog. 

'what the hell' i drop the boulder i was holing and investigate.

 the winning gets louder when i round the corner to see a girl laying on the ground, her fire red hair clinging to her swet drenched face.

walking closer i notice theres a huge wolf licking and nudging her face trying to wake the girl.

once im about ten feet away the wolf seems to just notice me and steps over the girl growling protectively.

"its ok i just want to help." as if it understood me it backs off but i can still feel its eyes whatching my every move.

bending down i examen the girl, shes so small, but seems to have no injuries, i reach out to touch her but the wolf lets out a vicious growl.

"i need to see if she has a fever." this time when i reach out it doesn't growl but the second my hand makes contact with her forehead i realize i need to get her to the dojo, shes burning up.

"i need to take her with me shes really sick."

'why am i talking to a dog' but to my surprise it just bows its head as if to say i have permission.

with the small girl limp in arms i run to the dojo the wolf in tow.

"sensei, SENSEI" i yell as we reach the dojo.

"what Zoro whats wrong?" 

"this girl i found her in the woods he has a terrible fever" he examines her before telling me to put her in one of the rooms and he'll call the doctor.

i lay the girl on a futon and am about to fetch something to cool her down but the wolf comes next to me with a bucket of cold water and a cloth in its mouth. 

'how? when? it doesn't matter.'  i look after her until the doctor comes and im walking out the door when i hear a growl. 

"w-why is th-thare a w-w-wolf in here!"  the doctor becomes frantic.

"its fine as long as you dont intend to harm the girl it should leave you be." i pointedly look at the wolf and it lays its head back onto the tatami mats.

three days later

Nova POV

I've been incredibly hot for so long i thought i was on fire, but now theres a cool warmth surrounding me. 

i peel my eyelids open but the light blinds me. 

Sheva must have noticed im awake because shes licking my face and howl/barking happily.

"hehehehe im fine no need to worry i just over exerted myself." i laugh scratching behind her ears.

"oh your awake... thats good." in the entrance of the room stood a young Zoro.

Zoro POV

i herd howling and rushed to the room incase the girl had gotten worse.

i open the door only to see her laughing and playing with the wolf almost twice her size.
