Sonic, Amy, and Agent 4 came out of the Octarian lair from their success on defeating Octo Samurai. With 4 Zap-Orbs retrieved, only 3 were remaining out there somewhere. The plug short circuited as the barricade overloaded and blew up. allowing access to the next area.
"Well, I guess the Great Zapfish wasn't here... Maybe in the next area?" Marie said.
"Well, let's get going." Sonic said as he and the others went off.
The 5 Agents went to the launchpad as they entered and launched to the next area.

Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Agent 4 landed in the next area. 6 more Zapfish were needed to be saved to move on.
"Well, I guess it's time to split up again." Agent 4 said.
"Yup. Let's go." Knuckles said as they all split up.

The 5 Agents came out from the Octarian lairs from their success on saving 6 more Zapfish. The Boss Kettle steamed as the top came off opening the entrance to it.
"The Boss Kettle's open! Go show 'em what us squids are made of!" Marie said.
"On it!" Sonic said as he and the other approached.
Before they entered.
"I could REALLY use some more data on the Dualies. Can you use them for a bit?" Sheldon said.
"Sure thing." Tails said. "Knuckles, Agent 4, and I will go."
"Alright, little buddy. Good luck." Sonic said as Tails, Knuckles, and Agent 4 entered the Octarian Boss lair.
Sonic and Amy stayed behind to keep an eye out.

Agent 4 freed the Zapfish and Tails and Knuckles got the red Chaos Zap-Orb back in their possession.

"Agents, I want to thank you again for all you've done so far." Marie said. "I think it's time I told my other purpose in asking for your help..."
"What other purpose?" Agent 4 asked.
"When we met I told you I was searching for the Great Zapfish." Marie continued. "But I'm afraid that's not the whole story."
"What else is there?" Agent 4 asked.
"You see... Even more than the Great Zapfish, I want to find my cousin Callie. She vanished on the same day as the Great Zapfish!" Marie explained.
"Knuckles was upset when he heard that." Sonic said.
"I know about her disappearance. But, why would Agent K be upset about her?" Agent 4 asked.
"It's because she's my girlfriend." Knuckles said. "We've been together for 2 years. But if Eggman or Octavio did something to her, they're so DEAD!!!"
"We don't know where she went." Tails said.
"...Wait. You already knew Agent 4?! Phew. Cool." Marie said in relief. "...So anyway. I'm Agent 2 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, and Callie is Agent 1."
"We found out they were Agents 1 and 2 after our last encounter with Eggman and Octavio." Amy said.
"Then there's Agent 3, who's currently out with our grandpa, Cap'n Cuttlefish. But they won't be back for a while..." Marie continued. "I was supposed to be protecting Inkopolis while the Cap'n was away, but then... Callie... The Great Zapfish..."
"Don't worry Marie. We'll find the Great Zapfish and Callie." Sonic said.
"Sorry I didn't tell you sooner... We'd be totally sunk without you, Agents." Marie said. "I know we'll find Callie if we keep looking! Think you can see this thing through?"
"Of course. We'll do whatever it takes!" Knuckles said.
"Lea... No... LEAVE NOW!" ??? said.
"Huh? Who's there? If you get in our way, The Agents will mess you up!" Marie said.
"Now I know for sure that person's voice sounds familiar." Knuckles said.

With 2 Zap-Orbs left to find, Knuckles thinks he knows who's hacking on their transmission. But who could it be...
