Chapter 2: The Octostrikers

It's day 2 of the Splatfest Tournament! With the Turf War rounds over starting from 64 teams, it's now down to 4.

Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Knuckles approached the Square, the other teams were there already.

"Welcome back Splatfest fans! We're now on Day 2 of the Splatfest Tournament!" Murasaki said all excited.

"Alright Murasaki, calm down." Ikkan said.

"We checked the results of the Turf War rounds yesterday and we found out the remaining teams all have an even score!" Namida said.

"So, how are we gonna settle the winner for this year's Splatfest?" Ichiya said. "Well, we'll be going with something we haven't done in a very long time! The Salmon Run Wave-Off!"

"If you guys forgot how it works, we'll let you know." Ikkan said. "You'll be placed in the Ruins of Ark Polaris where Salmonids will emerge from and you'll have to fight. The first two teams to collect the most Golden Eggs will move on to the final round."

"Grizzco will be where you need to go." Murasaki said. "And Mr. Grizz will keep transmission with you guys."

"Let's go!" Sonic said as he and the others went off to Grizzco.

The Octostrikers, Splat Squad, and Squid Kids teams went off as well.

The Squid Kids got back to the boat as the Wave-Off was over.

"Great work to all of you! In full total you scored 841 Golden Eggs!" Mr. Grizz said.

"Whoa!" Everyone of the teams said in shock.

"Your results will be revealed when you get back to land." Mr. Grizz said as the boat went back to Inkopolis.

(Back in Inkopolis Square...)

"Alright everyone, with the Salmon Run Wave-Off over, the results will be revealed when they get back." Namida said.

The Squidbeak Splatters, Octostrikers, Splat Squad, and Squid Kids came out of Grizzco and back to the Square.

"And they're back!" Murasaki said.

"Just get to the results already!" Revenant said.

"Alright, alright." Namida said trying to keep him from getting upset. "Without further ado, let's get to the results."

"In first place at 239 Eggs; The Octostrikers!" Murasaki said as the Octostrikers fans cheered for them.

"Woohoo!" Rogue said.

"Shut it, Rogue!" Jinx said grabbing his arm putting it back down.

"Okay, next. The Splat Squad has reached 202 Eggs! Reaching one over the Squid Kids results!" Ikkan said as the Splat Squad fans cheered, and Squid Kids fans sadly sighed and left.
