Sonic/Splatoon Crossover (Story Mode: Part 2)

Chapter 7: Trouble Lurks

Sonic, Tails, and Agent 4 came from the Boss Kettle from their success on defeating Octo Shower. The plug short circuited as the barricade blocking the launchpad overloaded and blew up, allowing access to the final area.

"Ok, Callie and the Great Zapfish are up ahead. Let's do this Agents." Marie said.

"Well... Let's hope this last area will be where they should be." Agent 4 said.

"Well, it's nearing sunset. Maybe we should rest up a little for tomorrow." Amy said.

"Amy's right. Maybe we should get a full day of sunlight for tomorrow." Tails said.

"Alright, then." Marie said.

"Let's get back to Inkopolis." Sonic said as he and the others left.

"I'll stay behind to reveal the entrances to the lairs while you're gone." Agent 4 said as she went off to the final area.

Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Marie went back to Inkopolis to rest up.

Sonic and the others came out from the manhole and in their normal clothes again. It was a slow day in the square since it's almost night time. And a broadcast is on as Pearl and Marina were talking with the leader of the Octostrikers, Revenant.

"So, you got what?" Pearl said in shock.

Sonic and the others saw the broadcast on the TV as Pearl and Marina were talking with Revenant.

"That's right. We got a stadium full of power. And tonight will be when the Squidbeak Splatters will face us." Revenant announced.

"Who is that guy?" Marie asked.

"He's the leader of a team of Octolings who we were gonna face in the final round of the Splatfest if it wasn't postponed." Sonic said. "For some reason, I feel like I met him before."

"Oh." Marie said. "Anyways, lets get back to the Plaza."

"Yeah. We need to rest up for tomorrow." Amy said as she yawned.

They continued their walk back to the Squid Sisters' home. They even took a train, because of how tired they are.

Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, and Marie made it back to her and Callie's home. Knuckles was still feeling upset about, thinking that Callie's on the Octarians' side.

"Alright, let's talk it out." Amy said as she sat down.

Sonic, Tails, and Marie sat down as well, beginning a conversation about what's going on with Callie. But Knuckles wasn't ready to be a part of it yet.

"Knuckles, where are you going?" Tails asked.

"Just need to relax." Knuckles replied.

Knuckles entered Callie's room. The only time he had to sleep with her was when he was first in Inkopolis. He saw a picture of him and Callie holding hands from when they were together in person, as he picked it up and lightly smiled.

"This picture brings back so many memories." Knuckles said to himself.

He then felt a piece of paper on the back of the frame. He took it off and put the photo frame down. Knuckles read the note as he slowly turned furious with anger as he left Callie's room.

"If Callie's trying do this alone, we need to help her." Amy said.
