A Bittersweet Smile

Comeback

Luhan's POV

It's been almost a year since the last time I saw him. It's been almost a year since the last time I heard his voice, his laugh, and his quiet but sharp remarks. It's been a while since the last time I heard from him. And the next time I see him, I would surely tell him that I don't love him anymore.

Airports are the worst place for me. Before, we couldn't even take a piss comfortably because of the fans, sasaeng fans. We would always find a sanitary pad inside our bags, in the worst case scenario, we would find a used one. Our belongings would always go missing.

But that was before. Today, the airport gives off the warning of my presence. The airport, with its flashing cameras and loud screams, helps me in letting him know that I'm already back. And I'm ready to let him see the new me.

"Hyung, I'm already at the Incheon Airport. Where are you?"

"Mianhe, Lu han. The roads are so jammed with traffic right now. Why did you have to take your flight during a rush hour? Aish"

"Oppa, please take a picture with me." "Lu~ge, please give me an autograph."

I just smiled at the girls and started walking away. My return had been a long-awaited one. It's been almost 7 months since I became inactive in our group activities. I never showed myself on camera during these 7 months.

"Lu Han, what are you waiting for? Get in the car if you don't want to be stripped off your clothes by your fans."

"Arasseo, hyung. Don't be so hot-headed."

I got in the car and we drove through a stampede of fans. And then, when we were already on the highway, I couldn't help myself and wondered what Minseok's reaction would be. I'm sure ready for the surprise.

"Lu Han, wake up! Don't expect me to carry you up like before."

Our manager hyung never changed. He still shouts at me for waking up so late.

We entered the elevator and pressed the 8th button. The M's dorm is at the edge of the 8th, and the K's dorm is just two doors away from ours.

Only Sehun, Kai, and D.O. knew that I was coming. I made them promise not to tell anyone, especially the M members. They obviously agreed, as long as Hanwoo is the included in making promises.

I knocked at the K's dorm, but no one answered. Guess they're not home yet.

"Xiao Lu?"

I turned to face the only person who calls me with that name.

"Sehun"

"Hyung!! You're back! Wait till Suho hyung finds out about this. This is gonna be a shocking news to everyone."

"Hunnie, hyung is tired. Can I take a nap in your room?"

"Okay. But mine changed. My room now is at the far left, near the showers."

"Okay"

The moment that I felt the softness of the bed, my jetlag started to kick off, and I immediately drifted to sleep.

"Why didn't you tell us?" "He told us to keep it as a secret." "Why would he keep it as a secret?" "Hyung, Lu Han hyung is already awake by now. Why don't you ask him?"

I woke up to the sound of my members arguing. It seems like they already knew about my arrival.

"Lu Han?" "Lay, I'm here."

The door to Se Hun's room opened slowly producing that creaking sound that he told me about. And he was right. It is scary.

"Lu Han, where have you been? Do you know how worried we were when Manager hyung told us that you won't be back for a long time? Do you know how grilled we were every time the reporters ask us about where you were, or what happened to you? Do you know that every night Xi-"

"That's enough, Lay. Lu Han is tired. Let him rest. You can continue your rants later after he's fully awake."

"Hyu-"

"Lu Han, rest for a while. We'll talk about this with the members later."

Guess my expectations were too high. He even let me rest. With that stoic face of his, Xiumin went out the room and quietly closed the door behind him.

"For now, what Xiu Min hyung said was right. But don't think that I won't shout at you later at our family meeting."

With that, Lay left me alone in Se Hun's room. Until now, it still hasn't sink in my brain that Xiu Min didn't react weirdly at all. Like he was not affected. Guess I'm the only one left with these feelings of attachment.

"EXO! Shut your mouth holes right now, before I shove your own feet in it."

Kris erupted because of the silly questions and rants of the members. Some sided with me, like Se Hun, Kai, and D.O. since I promised to buy them meat. Members like Tao, Joon Myeon, Chen, Baek Hyun , and Chan Yeol was arguing with them. People like Xiu Min, Lay, and Kris were just silently watching us with bored faces.

"Now, Lu Han. Explain now."

"I broke up with him."

Everyone was surprised when Xiu Min talked. He stood up and made his way to the door.

"I told him to go away. Does that answer your questions?"

And he silently went out the K's dorm. As to my surprise, everyone silently stood up and made their way to their rooms. The M members started walking towards the door.

"Hyung, I'm sorry. If I had known, I.. I would have.."

"That's okay Se Hun. It's not your fault that we broke up."

With that, I directly went out the door and made my way to the M's dorm. Good thing our dorms upgraded and now, I'm rooming with Lay.

When I opened the door, I saw Lay in his pajamas. Bringing his blankets and pillow with him, he walked past through me without a second glance. Chen opened the door, and placed his pillows and blankets, along with the teddy bears that were given to him on our debut.

"Chen, why are you in Lay's bed?"

"He often sleeps with Xiu Min hyung. But now, since you're already here, he wanted to switch rooms so that he can be with Umin Hyung."

Lay often sleeps with Xiu Min?

"He told me that he should take care of Umin by himself. Even in hotels, Lay hyung would still choose to cling with Xiu Min."

"Good night, Chen."

"Oh, okay. Good night hyung."

Maybe. Maybe that's why Xiu Min didn't react at all when he saw me. Maybe that's why Lay really listens to Umin. Maybe that's why.. That's why we broke up.
