The Maknae's Promise

"Hyung, did you take your vitamins?"

"Min Seok, did you eat breakfast yet?"

"Hyungie, you should bring a jacket with you."

Xiu Min was already discharged last week. He couldn't join our promotional activities in China this month because the doctor advised us to let him rest first.

But he didn't tell us to spoil him either.

"Yeol, Se Hun, Kai, stop. The coffee shop is just a block away from here. I won't faint just by walking, would I?"

"Hyung, you fainted just by driving."

"That was an exception."

The maknaes, specifically Se Hun, Tao, Kai, D.O., and Chan Yeol, is trying to be a little over-protective of Umin now. They would scold him for doing house chores all the time. They would scold him if he didn't drink his vitamins as prescribed.

In short, they're pampering him.

Umin has grown a little fatter than before. And that's because they refuse to let him do any form of work possible.

"I'll be with Lay anyway."

"Uh, hyung. Manager-hyung is taking me to the company. I'm sorry I couldn't accompany you."

For a moment, I saw Umin's sad face. But I don't know if that was just my imagination.

"It's okay. I'll just go by myself."

After Lay and our manager left, Se Hun went into his room, actually the five of them did. When they got out, they were bringing with them their jackets.

"Hyung, I'll accompany you."

"No, hyung. I'll drive you."

The five of them started arguing on who's gonna be with Xiu Min.

"Woah there. I only need one person. And it's okay if I'll just go by myself."

"No."

"O-ookay. Uhh. I'll pick Se Hun this time."

Se Hun brightened up, and danced at the living room to celebrate.

"Hyung, let's go!"

Before leaving, Se Hun planted a quick kiss on my cheeks. And my imagination played with me again.

'Cause I think I just saw a tear on Umin's cheeks before they closed the door.
