A Bittersweet Smile

Mind-Wrecking Conference

Our incoming 2nd Mini Album will be officially released this 12 midnight. I don't know if its because I was gone for almost a year, but I'm feeling really nervous for this press conference. The members must've felt it too as they were all tensed up and no one spoke at the backstage.

"And to welcome you all, our top-idol, EXO!"

Tao went up the stage first and was followed by the member at his back. When Kai and I stepped up on the platform, I was blinded by the camera's flashes. It took me a few seconds to realize that Kai was nudging me to go forward. And the press conference started.

30 mins. before midnight. I sighed in relief. 30 mins. more. I was relieved when no reporter seemed to mind about my absence. They were all just asking questions about the composing and album stuff.

"Xiu Min-ssi, you are the eldest of the group, right?"

"Ne."

"Would you care to explain why Lu Han, an EXO-M member, was inactive last year and how all of you coped up to fill his place?"

Shit.

Everyone in the room quieted down, and all eyes were fixed on Xiu Min. I know this would mentally break Xiu Min down, so I made a move on picking up my microphone.

"He was actually active."

All of the members snapped their heads towards Xiu Min's direction.

"He just wasn't on-screen. He was casted as one of the supporting roles in the movie that I'm currently filming. I advised him to take acting lessons in China, and the company, fortunately, allowed him."

"We, especially the EXO-M members, had a hard time filling up his place. But since it was for the development of our member, we just saw it as a gift for Lu Han-ssi."

He calmly put his microphone back in place and smiled for the camera. The members stole glances of each other, and there we decided to put up with the act.

"How are you gonna make up for that?"

Su Ho questioned Xiu Min with anger in his eyes. Xiu Min just brushed it off and headed for his room. Before he even closed the door, he turned to us.

"I've got everything settled."

Then that's how our night, more likely Su Ho's night, became really stressful.

"Lu Han, you're better than I thought."

"Kamsahabnida!"

"All right. Let's call it a day."

The workers already started to put the equipments back to their cases.

I'm currently at the set of Xiu Min's upcoming movie. Don't know how he did it, but I got in for a supporting role.

"Hey Lu Han, mind joining us for a drink?" Na PD asked.

I politely declined and made my way to the dorm. Manager hyung can't pick me up because he's currently in a meeting with the CEO. Xiu Min already left when his scenes were over. Or so I thought.

"Hey"

"What are you doing here?"

"To pick you up."

He pointed to a black Pagandi Zonda at his back. My eyes just went from chinky to owl-like.

"Holy shit Umin. This is your car?"

Xiu Min just nodded. He walked towards it and patted it roof.

"My baby. Given to me by my mom last year."

He had a hint of pride at his tone when he called the car his baby. I forgot how rich and successful his family is. Although he doesn't really show it, you can instantly tell that he's from a well-bred family if you look at his belongings.

"Hop on."

I excitedly hopped in. And Xiu Min started the car. Man, this is one hell of a ride.

Annyeong! This is my first author's note because I figured that you would be confused with this update. Uhhhhh.. What should I say? *Sorry. Kinda new to this stuff*

Ah. To make it more clearer, this is just an edited version of the last update. I figured it was too short with just 300+ words. So I made it 600. :)

And also, thank you for helping in reaching 300+ reads. I really didn't expect much for this story because of the lawsuit filing of Lu Han, and some random fans saying that XiuHan and HunHan is no more. But I still believe that they are still brothers. Well, they promised that they are ONE, right?
