Reaper of Pain

Chapter Sixteen

        "Just at least tell me you want too..." I didn't know what to say. Everything was happening just so fast. I didn't have time to process what to say. I didn't even put a filter on, I just said it.

        "Of course I do!" I looked up into Lucas's eyes and smiled. "I love you. I would marry you even if Slade didn't give you his blessing." I realized what I said and covered ny mouth. Did I really just say i would disobey my brother? 

****Lucas's POV****

        I couldn't believe that she would say something like that. I was so sure maybe it was her way of saying that she loved me. "So do you want to go see your brother anyways?"

        "Of course. I have to thank him for what he did to me. I have to tell him that even though you fell from heaven, you're still a great angel." She smiled at me and I could feel my pulse rise again.

        "Okay. Great. Now I need something I can give to-" I realized what i had to do when I was going to bring back Slade for a short time.

        "What? What's wrong?" Kat walked so close to me a took a step back. "Hello? Lucas?" I stopped trying to move away from her and took a deep breath.

        I looked into her green eyes. They were as bright as the grass outside on the lawn. Her hair a very shiny brown. She was perfect in my eyes. I was going to prove to her that I would do anything for her. "We have to go to Ruvel."

        I watched as Kat opened her eys the widest I've ever seen them. "Why? Can't we find someone else?" I could tell she was desperatley trying to find a way out of going to him. "Please!" I shook my head no and she sighed. I couldn't really make out what she said but it sounded like, "Reaper... More like Reaper of pain."

        I knew she was upset he chose Lucy over her. But she had me now and I knew she was happy. "Are you sad he chose Lucy over you?" I was discourage no matter how much I knew she loved me.

        "No! It did hurt but..." Kat stopped and put her hand on my head. She smiled that beautiful smile, to show her perfectly straight teeth. "I wouldn't have found you if he hadn't. I wouldn't be as happy as I am now."

        I'm not realy sure he chose Lucy over her anyways... I shouldn't tell her that though. "Well then! Are you okay with going to Ruvel then?"

        "Only if you are." I grabbed her around the waist and flew up into the air. I hope this goes well.... "Oh! Lucas?"

        "Yes?"

        "I love you."

        "...I love you too..."
