Chapter Twelve

******Ruvel's POV****

        "Kat....!" I look at the ground trying to figure out why she would say such things. I start running after her with a frenzy of emotions whirling inside of me. I feel my heart breaking, I feel betrayed, but I still feel love for her. I start running faster holding back as many tears as I can. I can't do this! I need her! I can't cry in front of her. I look around to see where she might havegone when I hear a sobbing in the bsuhes. "Kat?" I start walking closer and closer to where the noise comes from and move back some branches to get a look at the noise maker.

        As I reach for a few more branches I hear her voice. "So you've come back to me?" She stands up and starts to laugh. "I thought you'd never come back to me. I wondered how long it was going to take until you realized I was still alive..." The woman looks up and smirks.

        "Lucy!" I never thought I'd see her again. I thought she was dead. What is she doing here! I never wanted to see her around me. I thought I made that clear. "What are you doing here! I thought I made it clear I never wanted you near me!"

        "So you're not happy to see me again? I mean I am-"

        "Ruvel! Oh, Ruvel?" I hear Kat's voice off in the distance and she waves to me. I pretend to not notice. "Ruvel! What are you...!" She stops after she see's Lucy standing right in front of me. "Who's this?" She has a very unsettling air about her and so does Lucy.

        "Well Aren't you going to interduce us, Ruvel? It'd be nice if you did." She talked in such a voice that drove me crazy. She acted so innocent when really she isn't.

        "Kat, let's get out of here." I take Kat by the arm and try to pull her away but Lucy opens her mouth once again and uses the voice she knows I hate.

        "Well, Well, Well. You won't introduce me so I will! I'm Lucy, Ruvel's Fiancé."

        Kat turns to me and looks into my eyes. She never looked more sad. "Ru-Ru-Ruvel's Fiancé?" She looks at the ground again. Hair covering her face. "Is that true Ruvel?" I don't have the guts to look at her anymore. "Answer me!" She was screaming at me now. "Is it true?"

        "Yes." I look at her unwillingly. The face she gave me was so heartbreaking. I've managed to make her cry three times today. I was a monster in her eyes now. I knew I was. I couldn't say anymore then I did. I tried to and  all that came out were studders. "I-I.... It- It- It... Just-J-J-Just...."

        "Oh look at that! Ruve stills get all choked up around me. Isn't that sweet?" She looked at Kat in such a way it made my blood boil. There was no way this was happening. "And isn't he a cutie. To bad he doesn't love you. He loves m-"

        "Shut up, Lucy! I don't love you, and I never will! You concieted, selfish, good for nothing murderer! I'm sick of this! I thought I got rid of you a long time ago! I thought you were dead. Why did you come back? To ruin my life!" I started breathing harder. Both Kat and Lucy gave me shocked and frightened looks. "I don't LOVE you! I love Kat! That's all. I don't care how long I have after denying our engagment. I will spend it with Kat! Not you!"

        Lucy was so surprised. Her face said it all. I felt bad for yelling at her. I need to find Kat! I need to! I started running the direction Kat was going and ended up running into Diaval. "So you gunna run away! Chase after her. She already is mad, might as well leave her be." Diaval smiles. "She might not even love you anymore. What does it matter, we've all fallen for her. None of us have a chance..."
          "THAT'S NOT TRUE!" I look around Diaval's shoulder and see Kat standing with her head down. "I may be in shock from what I heard, but I will ALWAYS love Ruvel! Even if I die of heart break. I will never let anyone kill me unless it's Ruvel." She starts walking closer and my heart's pounding. "Ruvel, I know you're engaged, but I love you. Nothing will ever change that!"

        "Kat..." I couldn't believe my ears. She wasn't runnig away. I was! I was the one that didn't care. That's when I realized I might be lying to her and myself. I might not even love her.

Sorry it's short! I really am! I'm bust writing three stories at a time and i'm doing better than I thought I would. I'm not stopped up I just have this thing called, LACK-OF-TIME-itis. Sorry it's very contagious too. Lol! Okay see you guys in the next chapter.
