Nya decided to stay with Jay overnight at the hospital. The team went home to do what they usually had to do, train, clean, sleep, etc. Also the rare mission here and there. Nya would fall asleep in the chair beside Jay's hospital bed. The lightning ninja was getting tired of being constantly hooked up to machines, being in so much pain and throwing up every now and then.

He didn't eat anything no matter how many times his friends or the doctors told him to. He tried but all he'd do was throw it back up again. His weight was worrying. Jay didn't have hope for his health any longer. He knew things would only go downhill from there. Nya tried to keep his spirits up though.

She was currently sat in the chair beside his bed, reading through wedding magazines and mostly looking at the wedding dresses or cakes. Jay watched and listened to her excitedly talk about them between puking. Dr Harvey remained in the room at all times just in case. He did most of his work at a desk in the corner of the room.

"Ooh, ooh, what about this one?" Nya beamed, turning the magazine around to show Jay a large chocolate cake.

"Looks nice," he stated with a fake smile.

Nya nodded and went back to flicking through the pages, "Maybe we could have fancy table cards too, y'know? Blue ones could look nice."

"Listening to you two getting excited about this wedding of yours is so heart warming," Dr Harvey spoke up with a grin, not taking his eyes off his computer screen.

Nya smiled, "I know we won't get round to planning anything properly until Jay's better but having a look through this stuff is so fun! It's giving me some great ideas!"

Jay nodded weakly, clutching his stomach once again.

"Oh, Jay, you'd look so good in a blue tux," Nya sighed dreamily, bringing the magazine closer to her chest.

"Mhm," Jay grunted, "I'm sure I would..."

Nya frowned and looked at him with a concerned expression, "Your stomach again? Do you think you're gonna throw up?"

"N-no, I'll be fine," he sighed, "I'm just so tired of this. I want to go home."

"We need to keep monitoring you here. Your condition is no where near to being better," Dr Harvey stated, "Safety comes first, Mr Walker."

"I know but... surely sitting in a hospital bed all day won't do me any good," Jay told him, "Can't I go home for just one night?"

"Once we see a bigger improvement, I'll consider it, okay? You're doing a great job at recovering at the moment, we wouldn't want to ruin it," the doctor briefly glanced over.

Jay huffed and looked at his fiancee with a helpless look. She put the magazine down, gave him a reassuring smile, and reached for his hand.

"You'll be better soon. Until then, I won't leave your side," she told him.

"You're allowed to leave anytime you want, y'know?" Jay replied quietly, "I'll be fine here on my own."

"Don't you remember what happened last time I left you?" Nya raised an eyebrow.

"That was my fault," he responded, "I've learnt my lesson. Please, just go home and get some proper rest. You look exhausted."

"You need me," Nya sighed, "Besides, you're in a worse state than me. You're so pale, I could mistake you for a ghost. And your weight... don't even get me started about that."

"Nya, please," Jay begged, a sudden hitch in his voice, "For me."

"I can't.."

"Nya."
