"So how long have you guys been together now?"

I raised my eyebrows at Joanne, "It's been three years now but it's about to be four years." I said making her squeal.

"So how are you and my dad? How is the married life treating you?" I asked making her look at her wedding ring and smile at me.

"I love him a lot. He makes me very happy" She said making me smile, "I can see that and I am very happy for you two." I said making her sigh.

"Are you sure it's not weird for you?" She asked making me roll my eyes, "You asked me that when you told me you had feelings for him, I said no. You have now married him and my answer is still no"

She grabbed her notebook and a pen, "So how do you-"

"I would prefer that we didn't talk about that." I said cutting her off, she narrowed her eyes at me. "What was I going to say?" She asked.

"Something about Nick." I said making her close the notebook, "You leave in the morning for your hometown that you have not visited for the past three years." She said.

"Yep" I said as I nodded and moved around in my seat. "You are going there for a funeral" She said as I fiddled with my ring. "Yes" I said.

"You did the same thing with Ace and you are doing this with Nick" She said as her timer went off making me stand up, "At least tell me how your studies are going?" She asked.

"Top of my classes" I said as I put on my scarf, "All my professors love me. I am TA's for most of them and I am still the deans assistant. Very busy" I said as I put on my gloves.

I grabbed my coat and put that on as I grabbed my bag and keys, I hugged her then walked outside. I made my way to my car almost falling because of the ice on the ground.

I unlocked my car and got inside, I placed my bag in the passenger seat and exhaled as I started up my car. I turned on the heat and the seat warmers.

I pulled out of the parking lot as I put on my seatbelt, I pulled into the road as Mike called me. I answered as I came to a red light "Hello there Evangelina" He said.

"Hi Mike" I said as I turned up the heat, "Have you heard from her?" He asked. "I was with Joanne and I have yet to check my phone." I said as I pressed my foot on the gas as the light changed to green.

"Everyone has arrived-"

"I said I am coming in the morning Mike, I had things I needed to do before I can come." I said cutting him off, "Yeah I know, I am just saying" He said as he exhaled.

The phone moved around making me look out the window, "How is he?" He asked making me confused. "How is who?" I asked clearly confused.

He laughed while I scrunched my face in confusion, "Your boyfriend." He said making me smile. "He is fine as for as I know. He is at his house packing or something, I mean the last time I talked to him he seemed fine" I said.

"Do you think it is affecting him?" I shook my head no just to realize he can't see me "Nope. He stopped liking Nick around the time he told Oliver about us" I said.

"That is a long time to hold a grudge" He said making me smile, "You are telling me. Have you visited her?" I asked.

"Nope I am waiting for you, also my mother is calling me. So I have to go, call me when you land" He hung up as I unlocked my gate and pulled into my driveway.
