i live hidden
behind the mask that you see
a secret person
hidden under my skin
the person no one
but i see
hidden away under
the surface
hard for anyone to find
i am there still
just barely
but i am
secretly i want to be
let out
no one knows they
don't really see me
someday i will be
me again
one day you will see me
