6 years later... Lila's POV.
"Are you sure you want to do this?"
Dad has asked mum this question about ten times since we left the pack. Her answer is always the same...
"Yes, Leon, I'm sure."
I sat in the back of our car next to Levi and Elias. I can tell mum is nervous; I can feel it through our bond. From what she's told me over the years... I don't think I could do it.
"Elias, don't go to sleep. We'll be there soon." Levi poked Elias on his forehead. I snickered and glanced at them.
Levi got his wolf two years ago. No one was surprised to find out they were mates. As they got older, their relationship grew... They became more than friends before they both turned sixteen.
Levi will be taking over as Alpha when he turns twenty-one. I was offered the Alpha position, but I'm a warrior... It's what I want to do.
"We're here." Dad turned around in his seat, glancing between us. I looked out of the window, frowning. "This isn't the pack," I bleated.
We were in the middle of the city. I was expecting to be staying at the pack... We usually do. This place is so crowded and busy; I don't know how they manage to stay undetected.
"The pack is about an hour's drive from here. We'll stay in a hotel tonight, then drive there tomorrow." Dad answered.
"I can't stay at the packhouse," mum muttered. Dad held his hand out to her, "take my hand, baby." He whispered.
I watched as mum placed her hand in his, and I saw her relax. Ever since I was younger, they've always done this... I love that they have something like that.
I want that with someone... My mate preferably, but he's still nowhere to be found. I've looked for him even though I said I wouldn't.
I stepped out of the car, and my wolf immediately reared her head. I looked around to see why she was edgy. I couldn't see anything, but there were all different kinds of scents. Back home smells of nature, here it doesn't.
"Lila, are you ok?" Elias linked his arm through mine and pulled me along to the hotel.
"Hmm, I'm just tired, and Lola is restless." I sighed.
He rested his head on my shoulder and hummed in response. "Is it about your mate again?" He whispered.
"No, El. I've accepted that I'm probably not going to find him... He doesn't want to be found..." I grumbled.
He squeezed my arm and pulled back to look at me. "Sleepover with Levi and I?" He beamed.
"And be the third wheel... No thanks." I shook my head and giggled. "Plus... You've been cooped up with us for a good fifteen hours. I'm surprised Levi is holding Leo back." I winked.
He chortled and shook his head. "But if you need the company, L... He can wait." He deadpanned.
I smiled at him but shook my head. I just wanted to be on my own. "Well, the offer is there. Just bang on the door or mindlink either of us... Maybe link me because he's ignorant." He chuckled.
"Thanks, Elias, but I'm good. Go spend some alone time with your destined." I winked.
He laughed as he started walking towards Levi. "Love you, you beautiful being." He shouted over his shoulder.
I giggled and made my way over to my parents. "We are on the fifth floor... Here's your room key," dad chirped as he passed me a key. I looked at it and read the numbers, room sixty-four.
