Chapter 4: Sister or Lover

Swiftly turning around, Nya covered her mouth with her hands, "Jay?" Her voice was barely above a whisper due to her shocked and overjoyed state.

The lovers were a few feet away from each other. Jay's shocked state quickly turned into one of only pure joy, "Nya!" He ran in her direction.

Letting out a small sob of joy, she also ran in his direction, "Oh, Jay!"

They met at the middle and Jay swung her around in the air a few times before setting her down and giving her a hug that was purely filled with love. She returned with as much love as he gave her. The hug only lasted around three seconds before Jay broke it and leaned in for a kiss. She smiled and closed the gap between them. The kiss wasn't filled with hunger or anything like that, it was just a kiss.

Once they broke it, the rest of the team surrounded both of them. Kai practically pounced on top of her. Thanks to Nya's strength, she was able to put him down and not fall over due to Kai's weight. Nya's real reunion with the others weren't as drastic and/or dramatic as with Kai and Jay's. With Lloyd, they just gave each other a friendly hug. With Zane and PIXAL, they exchanged a few words. With Cole, they shook hands and talked a bit. With Skylor and Vania, they gave each other a sisterly hug and they had a small girl talk with PIXAL.

Nya has greeted everyone in the room. Everyone except for her. The white-haired girl who played with her friendship. Harumi stood as far away from the real reunion as possible. From Nya's memories, she remembered when they reunited when she was still in her ocean form. Her ocean form was way more forgiving than her human form, but Nya had promised Nyad that she would forgive Harumi. Her ocean self did it, so she can too.

Nya looked in Harumi's direction before slowly walking towards the former Quiet One. Harumi felt someone coming towards her. When she looked up, she saw the Water Ninja approaching her. She felt her breathing starting to fasten and her heart raced in fear since she was still paranoid that Nya might attack her or something for toying with their feelings, especially Lloyd's.

Nya stopped in front of Harumi, barely any distance left between them. Harumi visibly shifted uncomfortably and Nya looked back at her friends for help. Vania, Skylor, PIXAL, and Zane just smiled and nodded. Cole, Kai, and Jay gave her a gesture of approval such as thumbs up or nods.

Lastly, she looked at Lloyd. In her memories, she noticed that he and Harumi were getting close and that she could feel that they cared deeply for each other. And Harumi's affections for Lloyd weren't fake, it was all real. They're both simultaneously giving each others' love without even noticing it. She didn't just think it, she could feel it. She still does right at this moment.

Lloyd's reaction to Nya's stare was a smile. First, he looked at Nya. The smile he gave Nya was one of the types of smiles that a brother would give to his brother or sister, which in this case is for a sister. Then he turned his attention to Harumi and gave the girl a smile. Harumi noticed it and smiled back. Both smiles were the type of smiles that Nya and Jay gave each other, so it was clear that they both had strong feelings for each other but just don't notice it.

Back to the point, Nya looked away from her friends and turned her attention to Harumi. Taking a deep breath, Nya washed away her current anger on Harumi, doing her best to show that she wasn't angry. She shouldn't be angry because her memories clearly show that Harumi helped the Ninja fight the oni.

And not just that, if she kept being angry at Harumi, then she would be the only one to get hurt. She needs to listen to Master Wu's words; The words that she taught to Harumi in the past.

"Holding onto anger is like trying to throw a hot rock, only you get burned."

Following that piece of advice, Nya looked Harumi straight in the eyes. Harumi's eyes showed...
