Chapter One

'Ladies and Gentlemen please buckle your seat belts we will be landing at Billings Logan International Airport Montana in 10 minutes time'

I looked down at my seatbelt which I might add had been buckled the entire journey ever since the transfer between LAX onto this tiny contraption they seemed to think was an airplane! I grimaced as the plane bounced in turbulence. I was one of 11 people on the flight and from what I could tell I was the only one that was gripping onto my seat for dear life, the rest seemed to take it as normal!

I was exhausted it had been almost 24 hours since my mother had told me I had to go to my father and I had been wide awake filled with anxiety, upset and fear every second since. Not that I'd show him that, the man who finally felt he should do his duty by me after 16 whole years! Let's just say I couldn't conjure up anything nice to say about him most of the words I applied to him were swears.

The odd thing was I didn't even know his name yes I knew his last name it was the same as mine but my mother had only referred to him as 'your father' and the only time she's ever actually spoken of him was literally 10 minutes before I'd been told I had to get on this flight. It was utterly ridiculous how little I knew about him the man who provided half of my DNA. I wondered if I looked like him. I certainly didn't take much after my mum. She was petite at only 5'2, had blonde wavy hair, tanned skin and blue eyes. I had definitely gotten my petite stature and bone structure from her as well as her curves but in all other ways I was an exact opposite. I had long black hair that shined like a raven's wing, it curled riotously around my face, pale skin and deep Amber eyes that flecked green in extreme emotion. It would be nice to know I got my looks from somewhere even if it was from my Bastard of an old man.

As the plane bounced to touch down on the asphalt I grimaced yet again I must have phased out day dreaming for the last 10 minutes.

'Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking you have reached your destination, welcome to Montana' he announced everyone behind me started clapping and cheering. Leaving me thinking how dumb that was but I clapped along with them.

The steps were let down and I followed the rest of the people on the flight off the plane, noting that our bags were being unloaded I walked over and grabbed all 3 of mine struggling with a pull along suitcase, and 2 over the shoulder duffle bags.

It was then that I saw him, he had black hair cut short in an almost Military cut and Amber eyes and he looked about 40 years old he was standing behind a fence looking at the plane as if waiting for someone with a hole crowd of others. I took a deep breath, squared my shoulders and lugged myself luggage making me wobble slightly in his direction.

'Um...Hi...were you perhaps looking for me?' I asked a little nervous now that it came to seeing him face to face.

He looked down at me a strange look in his eyes; oddly it almost looked like love? But my father could not love me could he? He was the one that hadn't wanted me until I was 16 years old.

He cleared his throat...it was then that I realised he'd been talking to me and I'd completely ignored him! 'Yes' he said completely towering over me; he must be 6'5" at least! 'I am Christopher Wilde your Father Eliza'

"It's Lizzie - I hate Eliza" I said as dropping the duffle bags and rubbing my shoulders.

"Ah well Lizzie it is then...Let's go" he clicked his fingers and suddenly another guy probably in his early 20's, huge muscles, golden tan, golden hair and the bluest eyes (Not that I noticed! But come on!) came over grabbed my bags and walked to a huge 4x4 as if the bags weighed nothing dumping them in the back.

I caught up with my father "Um Christopher...you do realise it's like against the law to have slaves?" I was watching the guy who carried my bags jump into the front passenger seat. He turned round and glared at me as if he had heard and I could swear he growled! Who did that?!

My father aka Christopher turned round and looked at me a short bark of a laugh escaped him before he looked over at his so called slave "That's Derek he's helping me out today and no he's not my slave" he gave that strange short bark of a laugh again. It was a weird noise as if he hadn't laughed in a long time and was just relearning it.

A frown crossed his brow "Christopher...why not Dad?" he asked obviously upset that I had not called him 'Dad'

"Well I'm going to be honest with you and tell you that you might be my biological father but you have not been a father to me in a true sense I don't even know you, I didn't even know anything about you until 24 hours ago! I didn't even know your name! Where you lived! I still don't even know where you live, what you do for a living, how old you are, what your favourite things to do are, your favourite colour, food?!" I took a deep breath on the last word having just shouted the whole lot at him.

He gave an omg was that a growl just like the other guy! "Young lady do not speak to me like that!" he spoke his voice taking on a scary tone as if to say don't mess with me.

"I am being honest, you have no right to be called father, dad or anything but your name by me until you've earned my respect" I growled right back refusing to be scared. Wait a minute did I just growl at him? I actually think I sounded like a dog just then!

He looked at me and oddly he had a crooked smile on his face "Get in the truck" was all he said jumping into the driver's seat and starting up the engine. I pulled open the back door scrabbled in as it was quite high and I'm pretty short it made it difficult to get in easily, I'm sure that stupid Derek guy snickered at me. "You know the most unattractive thing a guy can do?" I said casually as I buckled myself in "Snigger" I said glaring at him before popping in the earphones to my iPod and staring out the window at the scenery as we left the airport. Not before I saw Derek's face and it was a picture I definitely loved having the last word! Mwahahahaha!

**Christopher AKA Dad's point of view**

So this is my daughter, my angel Eliza...I must admit she is much different than what I expected...she's one tough little cookie. I assumed she'd be a quiet little thing hurting from being taken away from her mother but no, she'd jumped off the plane and approached me and then actually argued with me - Damn but I'm proud of my pup! I can't wait until she meets her brothers...
