Part 7
I ended up skipping class and going back to my dorm. I don't share it with Camila or Michelle. They each have their own apartment. It's currently six in the afternoon and I'm about to take a nap.
A nap that had to be postponed because of an important phone call. I grab my ringing iPhone and put it up to my ear.
"Ryan." Michelle's voice comes from the other end. Her voice sounds muffled and as if she's been crying.
"What's wrong Michelle?"
"Calum broke up with me." She says in between sobs. Calum has been Michelle's boyfriend for about three months. They met on the first day of college and have been best friends since then. Thee months ago they got together.
"Oh, I'm so sorry. It's okay he's an asshole anyways. He doesn't deserve you." Calum is an asshole in fact. He seems nice and charming. He is but he has a down side. He likes to sleep around a lot. Once they started dating he decided to stop for their relationships sake. I guess he got tired of not jumping around from girl to girl.
"But I really liked him! I bet we won't be best friends like we used to be! God damn it! I hate this." She stops yelling into the phone and just starts crying uncontrollably.
"I know just give it some time. He'll realize the mistake he made." I frown. I hate hearing Michelle cry like this. I hate hearing or seeing anyone cry. I feel like I can't do anything to make them feel better. It's horrible. "Michelle where are you?"
"Getting some of my stuff out of his apartment." I hear some shuffling around. "I'm done now. I'm just going to go home."
"Is he there?"
"No."
"Hold on, I'll go and pick you up. You shouldn't be crying like this and driving." I'm really concerned about her. She never gets this hurt after a relationship that's only just started.
"Okay." I hear her say after a few seconds of silence. "Okay" she whispers.
I grab my car keys and walk out of the dorm. My hair and clothes is a mess. I had changed into running shorts, to do some horizontal running, and a tank top. My hair was in a sloppy bun but I don't care. I just care about my best friend being safe and happy.
---
I arrive at Calum's expensive flat. Calum makes a lot of money doing who knows what. No one really knows what he does for a living.
I make my way up to his apartment and knock on the door. I wait for a little before the door opens. Michelle's make up is a completely smeared and all over her arms becomes of her wiping her eyes on her arms.
I immediately wrap my arms around her. "It'll be okay." I tell her.
We go to my car and drive off to her tiny apartment. On our way we stop and buy a tub of ice cream. Once we get to her apartment she lets us both in and lays down on the floor. I give her the tub and go into her miniature sized kitchen and grab two spoons. I give her one. We both dig into the tub.
She sits there without saying anything after she decides she doesn't want more. All of a sudden she gets up and goes to her room. I hear her lock the door.
"I'M GOING HOME NOW MICHELLE FEEL BETTER." I holler. It's late now and I'm exhausted. I didn't get my nap and I had to deal with my crying best friend.
Authors Note;
Boring chapter but important for later on. I always say that but it's true I think. Okay. Oh and I'm sorry that Ashton isn't in this chapter. [fyi I changed it from a HARRY fanfic to an Ashton fanfic]
