~A few days earlier~
Third person POV
It was just a normal day for Pico and Keith, Pico was just watching TV on the couch, while Keith was in the Kitchen making some sandwiches. After a few minutes later, Keith comes out of the Kitchen walking towards Pico.
"Hey." Keith greets. "I made some sandwiches, if you want any, I placed it on the dining table." Keith tells Pico. "Sure, I'll eat it later." Pico replies. Keith didn't say anything after and just sat down right next to Pico.
Pico noticed that Keith was being kinda down lately, he never really wanted to talk about anything personal or important when it comes to talking to Keith because it was still kind of awkward, but suddenly, today he wanted to talk to him more than usual.
So he started with a "Hey, you alright?" He asked Keith. "Yeah, I'm fine." Keith replies looking down. "Are you sure? It looks like something has been bothering you." Pico asks worryingly. "It's about Girlfriend.." Keith finally let's out.
"What's wrong?" Pico asks again. "I don't know if I should tell you." Keith says. "It's alright, I understand." Pico sighs. "No! It's not that I don't trust you, it's just because it might cause you problems again.." Keith tells him.
"Well, this isn't about me anymore, since you've taken care of me, I think it's time for me to repay you, right?" Pico reassures him. "Alright." Keith smiles. "The problem is, me and Girlfriend have been fighting a lot lately, and it's always about "losing" me. It's like she doesn't trust me." Keith frowns. "What if that's just her way of showing she loves you? Either way, I'm sure she loves you a lot." Pico says trying to cheer him up.
"It's not just that.." Keith says "Hmm? is there something else?" Pico asks, ready to comfort him. "It's just, I don't think I love her the same way and as much anymore.." Keith looks away scared of what Pico is about to say.
"..."
Keith who was scared, was getting ready for lots of disagreement and hate speech, but instead of that.. He feels arms wrap around him and embrace him. The hug felt so warm and soothing, it was like he didn't want to let go. Even though it was Pico, he didn't feel like pulling away and just gave in.
After a few minutes of staying in the same spot, Pico pulled away, still not saying a word. "Thanks, I really needed that." Keith says, thanking Pico. "It's fine, I'll be here for you whenever you need me." Pico reassures him again.
